A Legacy forged from Steel: A Pittsburgh Steelers CFM (M18)
INTRODUCTION
This CFM will pick up in week 10 of the 2017 season. I jumped in at the current week (9) and with it being a bye week I went ahead and simmed it to the following week. This franchise will also keep tabs on what is happening around the league throughout the years. Granted some roster moves will not reflect accuracy for this season as events like Luck going on IR or Watson injuring his knee happened after the update. Also to add life I will be adding storylines throughout the league and in the college world.

Steelers vs Colts Game Preview
Pittsburgh-Gazette
Malcom Smith
Entering week 10 the Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves with a 6-2 record coming out of their bye. The Steelers journey thus far has been an unexpected one. The Steelers defense has taken a bigger leap than many predicted being the driving force of the team as an offense, that was predicted to flirt with records, has been inconsistent and just good enough to win ball games. QB Ben Roethlisberger, Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley, and Head Coach Mike Tomlin all expect a big jump from this unit in the second half of season.
The Colts will being suiting up QB Andrew Luck for the first time this season. Sitting at 2-7 they hope he is the shot in the arm this franchise needs. The Colts have struggled on both sides of the ball so it will be key for them to make plays early to keep it competitive which is not something this franchise has done against the Steelers as of late. A win this week can give the Steeles a strangle hold on the AFC North as the Ravens sit at 4-5 and the Bengals at 3-5. The Browns have yet to find that first win and are the laughing stock of the NFL after the McCarron trade debacle.
As for the game look for the Steelers to try to get Ben Roethlisberger in sync early. This could be the game the Steelers finally put it all together on both sides of the ball and play up to their full potential.

Don't let the score fool you. The Colts did not play very well offensively. Take away a fluke tipped pass that Hilton pulled in then raced for a 95 yard score and a fluke 75 yard run on the first scrimmage play in the 3rd by Gore, where Shazier and Dupree collided knocking each other down, and the statistical output by the Colts big three is not very impressive. The Steelers only tallied 2 sacks in the box score, but Luck was under duress the entire game and started to stack completions late in the game when the Steelers went into prevent mode. Mike Mitchell notched himself two interceptions, but leave the game with an abdomen injury. Early reports from the locker room say that he could be sidelined for at least a month. Cam Heyward, who has been the best player on the Steelers defense in 2017, left the game with a hand injury. He is considered week to week.
The offense for Pittsburgh came out on fire, but after three straight sacks forced a FG on their first drive the unit regrouped and came out ready to put the ball in the endzone. Ben Roethlisberger played his best game of the season looking accurate down the field and even connected with Bryant for a 68 yard TD. Bryant would still finish the game with only two catches where rookie sensation Juju Smith-Schuster would finish with 6. Will be interesting to monitor week to week going forward. Bell did Bell like things as he gashed the Colts averaging over 4 and a half yards a clip. Two other rookies would make their impacts as James Conner would score his first NFL touchdown late in the game and rookie DB Cam Sutton would provide a spark in the punt return game in his season debut. The Steelers host the Titans in week 11.

Offense: Ben Roethlisberger
Defense: Mike Mitchell
Special Teams: Cam Sutton
