GIANTS GET THEIR MAN
Dave Poree is not a name that was on a lot of "experts" tongues when talking about the Giants replacement for Ben McAdoo. However, that's who the team has decided on. Poree has reportedly secured a deal that will give him control over personnel decisions, similar to New England's situation with Bill Bellichick.
"If I can't pick out the groceries I don't want to cook the meal." Poree Tweeted shortly before the hiring was announced publicly.
"We're very confident in Dave's abilities and his vision." Steve Tisch explained when questioned about the hiring. "We weren't just looking to get the biggest name."
Poree replaces the departed Ben McAdoo, who finished with a 13-15 record including 2-10 this past season. He was 0-1 in the playoffs.
Poree was questioned about the state of the roster and the numerous upcoming free agents.
"I'm not going to get into details until I've spent more time looking that stuff over." He answered. "But when you have a season like this past one you're looking to make changes. Things are going to look a lot different in a few months."
