GORDON FINDS THE ENDZONE

CHARGERS UPSET HOT BROWNS IN CLEVELAND

The Browns have been one of the league's biggest surprises, coming into the game with a 4-1 record, and were heavy favorites over the Chargers. Expectations were low for the Geno Smith led squad prior to the game. After a scoreless first quarter the Chargers scored 14 in the second via a Geno Smith touchdown run and a Casey Hayward pick six a few minutes later. Melvin Gordon scored on a 68 yard third quarter run and Sturgis made it 24-0 with a third quarter field goal. Carlos Hyde finally got Cleveland on the board with a fourth quarter run. Sturgis added three more and Cleveland made it respectable with a late score before the Chargers ran out the clock.

Geno Smith was efficient and avoided the big mistake while Gordon ran for 118 and a score. The defense played tough and contained Tyrod Taylor while also holding the Browns to 80 yards rushing.

NEW CHARGER KEVIN WHITE

CHARGERS MAKE TRADE TO BRING IN WR KEVIN WHITE

The Chargers injuries at WR have started to stack up and yesterday the team made a move to get back some much needed depth at the position. After initially contacting Cleveland about Josh Gordon the team set their sights a bit lower and were able to land Kevin White.

White was drafted by the Bears seventh overall in 2015. White's career has been hampered by injuries, he has caught just 21 passes since coming into the league and has yet to score a touchdown.

The Chargers sent DT T.Y. McGill to Chicago in the trade. The teams swapped 7th round picks this season while the Chargers sent a 2020 sixth and got a 2020 7th back in the deal.

"Really excited." White replied when asked about the trade. "Can't wait to play with those guys."

White is expected to work his way into the rotation at WR over the next few weeks.
