Re: National Collegiate Champions League | NCAA 14 Dynasty
UPDATE: NCCL off-season begins; Premier members announced NEW YORK -- Recently the NCCL made public of the Premier teams and their conference affiliations, today the rest of the league was formed following many discussions behind closed doors. All 128 teams have been assigned to a conference, either Premier or Competitive, based on current skill level and geographical region. In each offseason, the bottom two Premier teams in each conference will be replaced with the top two Competitive teams within their Region. NCCL President Mike Emery announced there were pairings of five regions in Monday's press conference. As we look around the country, here are our three quickest takeaways from today's groundbreaking news. 1. Kansas = C-USA - The Jayhawks found themselves as the only former Power 5 school to be placed into the Competitive league. Still within the Region IV, they have a shot to make their case and snake back into the Big 12. Houston, SMU, BYU, Notre Dame, and Nebraska are the newcomers to Region IV's Premier conference: the Big 12. 2. Power 5 forms the Premier - Four of the five conferences formerly known as the Power 5 remained mainly untouched in terms of conference makeup. The ACC gained Louisville, the B1G gained Maryland, Rutgers, and Cincinnati, the Pac 12 gained Boise State and San Diego State, and the SEC remained the same. 3. Geography is consistent - As was expected and planned, the geography of all the Regions remains very consistent with what we were told. Region I features East Coast teams, Region II features the Southeastern teams, Region III features the Midwest, Region IV features the "Tornado Valley", and Region V consists of teams on the West Coast.

SEASON ONE, GAME ONE Razorbacks Spoil Debut @ USA | 0 | 0 | 7 | 7 || 14 --------------------------- ARK | 7 | 7 | 0 | 7 || 21 The Johnny Thompson era got off to a slow start Saturday with the Jaguars falling to the Arkansas Razorbacks, 21-14. The Jaguars put up a fight until the very end when Devwah Whaley exploded for a 31 yard touchdown with two minutes left to play in the game. The Razorbacks' lone bright spot was Whaley who finished with 114 yards and accounted for all three Arkansas touchdowns on the ground. Austin Allen had a sluggish start to his senior season throwing for just 98 yards and an interception, while being sacked four times. The Jaguars D allowed 245 yards of offense on the day. Coach Owen's offense seems to be a work in progress, but showed signs of life. Cole Garvin remained poised and had excellent protection all day en route to a 15/20 and 135 yard performance. Xavier Johnson (8 carries, 35 yards) was the starting tailback, but it was Tra Minter (4 carries, 14 yards, 2 TD) who stole the show today. Minter snuck his way into the end zone on carries of 1 and 2 yards to lead the offense. South Alabama had a chance late in the game following Whaley's go ahead score, but on 4th-and-6, Jamarius Way dropped what would have been a first down to keep the drive alive near midfield. With 1:36 left and two timeouts, all Arkansas needed to do was gain a first down. Whaley delivered with a 12 yard cutback run to the outside to seal the victory for Arkansas. South Alabama (0-1) will travel to Tempe, Ariz. to take on the Sun Devils of Arizona State (1-0, 0-0) in Week 2. SCORING SUMMARY 1Q - 1:55 - Devwah Whaley, 7 yard run. SEASON ONE, GAME TWO Sun Devils Silent Jaguars @ USA | 00 | 08 | 07 | 00 || 15 ------------------------------------------- ASU | 24 | 24 | 00 | 17 || 65 The Jaguars' faithful will have to wait another week to see Johnny Thompson and Co. notch their first victory. The game was all Arizona State as the Sun Devils (2-0) dominated South Alabama (0-2), 65-15. Cole Garvin was able to pick apart the Sun Devils passing defense airing it out for 324 yards on 24 for 33 passing. Garvin connected with Sam Harris on the lone receiving touchdown of the afternoon. Xavier Johnson (8 att, 13 yds, 1 TD) accounted for the other touchdown finding the end zone on a 4-yard run early in the second quarter. However, it was Demario Richard of Arizona State who stole the show. The senior tailback led a potent rushing attack with 138 yards and a pair of touchdowns while averaging 6.0 YPC. Manny Wilkins Jr. had no problem splitting the Jaguars secondary apart tossing for 227 yards on 59% passing. Wilkins accounted for four touchdowns with two rushing and two passing. The Sun Devils defensive front disrupted the Jaguars QB's totaling 10 sacks on the afternoon. Riley Cole seemed to be the lone bright spot on a rather weak defense for South Alabama. Cole got to the quarterback twice for sacks and added another pair of tackles for loss. He finished with 7 tackles on the day which led his team. South Alabama (0-2) will seek to upset Auburn (1-0, 0-0) for their first victory of 2013. SCORING SUMMARY 1Q - 6:50 - Demario Richard, 14 yard run. Re: National Collegiate Champions League | NCAA 14 Dynasty
This is something I've always wanted to do! A promotion/relegation system would be a lot of fun to implement into a sport like college football. I enjoy reading Bill Connelly's yearly look at a simulation of a football relegation system.
Lots of possibilities, but for a dynasty, it will be fun to follow. Good luck.

SEASON ONE, GAME THREE Battle of the Cats @ USA | 07 | 03 | 07 | 07 || 24 ------------------------------------------- AUB | 07 | 17 | 03 | 06 || 33 The #9 Auburn Tigers (2-0, 0-0) narrowly escaped a disastrous scare as they hold off the South Alabama Jaguars (0-3) at home by a score of 33-24. South Alabama featured a very balanced offensive attack headlined by quarterback Cole Garvin. The Tucker, GA native accounted for 269 yards of offense -- 138 passing -- and scoring twice. Garvin went down with an injury in the fourth quarter on two separate occasions allowing fellow junior Dallas Davisto lead the Jaguars on an impressive drive capped with a Kawaan Baker 19 yard receiving touchdown to trim the Auburn lead to just 6 points with a little over four minutes left in the game. The Tigers were powered by Jarret Stidham and Kamryn Pettway as the two led their offense down the field to set up Daniel Carlson with a 25 yard field goal essentially sealing the game for Auburn with 1:52 left in the contest. Down 9, the Jaguars defense needed to move fast and with Garvin back in the contest he scampered for three consecutive plays picking up gains of 15, 15, and 9, respectively to set up South Alabama on their own 48. On the ensuing play, Cole Garvin was sacked from his blindside and was slow to get up. The Jaguars then stalled and failed to convert on 4th-and-15, thus giving the ball to Auburn which the Tigers then ran out the clock. Following the game, coach Thompson informed the media Cole Garvin will be day-to-day in terms to his injury which is being disclosed as of now. The playmaking QB appeared to be hampering his midsection when walking off the field and was seen wrapped in ice leaving the stadium. Thompson praised the offensive line, though allowing six sacks, showed obvious signs of improvement while paving their way to 401 yards of total offense. Riley Cole once again was the key anchor on the defensive front earning player of the game honors. The freshman linebacker tallied 12 tackles with five of those being for losses. USA's defense shot itself in the foot multiple times with a pair of facemask penalties giving Auburn key first downs. However, the defensive unit kept the Jaguars in the game two separate drives when the Tigers were held to field goals instead of touchdowns. Coach Thompson was pleased with where his team is at, despite the winless record.
SCORING SUMMARY 1Q - 5:11 - Cole Garvin, 20 yard run. (PAT kick) - USA 7-0 AUB 1Q - 4:06 - Tucker Brown, 10 yard pass.
