I was very surprised from the result of this one. I didn't think Montana State would come within at least 4 scores. They hung in there and played hard and tough. They turned the ball over 5 times but were still able to stay in the game, if they hadn't they may have even won this game. This team could surprise people down the stretch. They may not have speed, strength, or skill, but they got heart. The schedule doesn't get any easier as next week they take on the fifth ranked Huskies.

Bobcat Podcast:
Hello Bobcat nation! This is your host Billy Coast. We all know what we are here to talk about: Montana State's first FBS. It wasn't the prettiest game by any stretch of the imagination, but you know what the Bobcats proved they can play with the big boys. I know what people are saying this is Missouri, yada, yada, yada. Nobody predicted Montana State to play even remotely close to a team way above their caliber. Missouri isn't Alabama or Clemson, but they are still a great program. I am proud of what this team accomplished despite the odds.

Coach Thomas said this:
"I couldn't be prouder of our boys they went out their and gave it their all. As a coach you can't ask for more than effort and heart. This team has great chemistry and will do some great things in the future."

On a side note we also have some bad news. Conrad Williamson, starting LT and team captain tore is pectoral muscle, and will be out for 2 weeks. Malik Casey the starting QB was also injured dislocating his elbow on 2nd and goal of the first drive and will miss an expected 10 weeks. Both the injuries really hurt this offense, we hope for steady and quick recovery. Billy Coast signing off. Peace.

Week 1 Injury Update

Re: Coach Thomas' Bobcats | A Relegation Dynasty (NCAA 14)

This is a very interesting concept. I like the choice of Montana State, and I love these relegation dynasties. Very curious to see how this plays out. Good luck!

Thank you so much, I will definitely need luck to hopefully not go 0-12 this season.

South Carolina (42), NC State (36), Iowa State (25), Florida (16), Texas A&M (7)

Dropped Out: Oregon (#24)

The polls didn't have any drastic changes. What surprised me was Clemson was able to leapfrog Alabama and take the number 1 position despite Alabama obliterating a ranked opponent. I would've also expected LSU to move up more than two spots after beating Oklahoma on the road. The big games this week are: #25 Utah at #6 Auburn, #12 Stanford at #1 Alabama, #16 West Virginia at #17 Oklahoma, #4 Ohio State at #23 LSU, and the Game of the Week is: #13 Michigan at #12 Notre Dame. There are some huge matchups this week which is exactly what you would expect in the new system. I predict any upsets but they should all be close games.

Big Games:
#25 Utah at #6 Auburn
#12 Stanford at #1 Alabama
#16 West Virginia at #17 Oklahoma
#4 Ohio State at #23 LSU

Game of the Week:
#13 Michigan at #11 Notre Dame

Re: Coach Thomas' Bobcats | A Relegation Dynasty (NCAA 14)

Bobcat Podcast:

Hello Bobcat nation! This is your host Billy Coast. We heading to Washington this week to take on the fifth ranked Huskies. Punter/kicker Leigh Billings was suspended for supposedly copying during a math exam. Coach Thomas has said he will be suspended four 5 weeks. There were two injuries in practice this week leading up to the game, both of which are huge blows to the team. First off, Cedric Berg incurred a minor concussion after taking a hit Thursday morning. He is expected to be back in 4-6 weeks depending on how quickly he can recover. Backup kicker/punter Jerod Manson was getting snaps because Leigh was suspended. Unfortunately there was a bad snap and he dove to recover the ball but slipped and a dog pile crushed his leg. He is expected to return in 10+ weeks. We won't be kicking for 5 weeks as there are no other punters/kickers on the roster. Hopefully we can convert on 2 point conversions. This your host Billy Coast signing off. Peace.
