Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Seahawks Defense Battered by Saints in 44-31 Defeat

Seattle - It was a rough day for the Seahawks defense on Sunday at CenturyLink Field. Drew Brees threw for three touchdowns, Alvin Kamara ran for 171 yards on the Seahawks defense, and to top it all off Seattle lost two major components on the defensive side of the ball in a 44-31 loss on Sunday. Bobby Wagner, and Bradley McDougald both went down with injuries and had to leave the game early on Sunday. The prognosis was not good for either after the game as they are both expected to miss multiple weeks with their ailments. That contributed to New Orleans putting up a whopping 544 yards on the Hawks. Russell Wilson also struggled mightily on Sunday throwing three interceptions, and even getting briefly knocked out of the game himself with a bruised shoulder. It was all contributed to a nightmare day that could have lasting implications on the season depending on the severity of Wagner, and McDougald's injuries. Seattle in the meantime will look to regroup when they head to Arizona next Sunday to take on the Cardinals. Kickoff for that game is set for 1:05 PM.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Week 3 Recap

Tannehill Impresses, Filling in for Mariota

Ryan Tannehill is on one of his last chances in the NFL, and he is looking to make the most of the opportunity. Filling in for an injured Marcus Mariota, Tannehill was impressive on a short week leading the Titans to a win over their division rivals the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Mariota slated to miss a few more weeks it would be great for the Titans if they can tread water while Tannehill fills in.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Week 4 Preview at Arizona Cardinals

Glendale - The Seattle Seahawks will get their first look at number one pick Kyler Murray and the new look Arizona Cardinals on Sunday when they travel to Glendale. Seattle has had a lot of success in recent years down in the desert, and will be favored to come away with another victory over a young Arizona squad. Running back Chris Carson is looking to get going after a rough start to his 2019 campaign so far. Second year back Rashaard Penny has been filling in as the back up busting off a big run last Sunday, and maybe coming for some more of Carson's carries going forward. Seattle will of course be coming into this game shorthanded with Bobby Wagner, and Bradley McDougald both ruled out with their injuries sustained in last week's loss to the Saints. Sunday's game will kick off at 1:05 PM from State Farm Stadium.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Seahawks Defense Dominates Cardinals

Glendale - The Seahawks defense turned in their most dominant effort of the season, and the Seahawks run game got going again as the Seahawks beat up on the young Arizona Cardinals 34-9 on Sunday. A week after losing two starters, and getting carved up by Drew Brees, and the Saints. The Seahawks held Arizona under 200 yards of total offense, and did not even let them get into the red zone. Three field goals by Greg Joseph was all the Cardinals could muster. Meanwhile Rashaad Penny had another big day on the ground busting off a 39 yd TD run, while he pushes for more carries behind Chris Carson who continues to struggle carrying the load for Seattle. Russell Wilson was again effective scrambling as well as he is actual the current leading rusher for the Seahawks through four games this season. Seattle will now have a quick turnaround, and a big test Thursday night when they welcome in the NFC West Champions Los Angeles Rams to CenturyLink Field. Kickoff that game is slated for 5:20 PM.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Week 4 Recap

Rams Finally Get Win
After starting off the season at 0-3. The Rams were finally able to get in the win column on Sunday with a 24-7 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After many pundits picked the Rams to be super bowl contenders again this season, the 0-3 start had many thinking last year's super bowl defeat may be too much for the Rams to overcome. Hopefully for Sean McVay and company the win is just what they need to turn their season around and get going in the right direction.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Week 5 Preview vs. Los Angeles Rams

Seattle - The Seahawks get their first prime time action of the season this Thursday night when they welcome the Los Angeles Rams into town for an NFC West showdown. The Seahawks are out to an impressive 3-1 start to the season, while the NFC Champs have surprisingly struggled to a 1-3 start out of the blocks, although they are coming off of a much needed win last week at home. It will be interesting how both teams approach the short week with key defensive players out on both sides. We may be in for a high scoring affair this Thursday night at CenturyLink Field. Kickoff is set for 5:20 PM.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Rams Sack Seahawks 42-7

Seattle - Just like two years ago when these teams met at CenturyLink Field it was a nightmare for the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night. Russell Wilson for the first time in his career was unable to finish a game due to injury, and Geno Smith provided no answers as the Rams rolled over the hapless Seahawks 42-7. Aaron Donald wreaked havoc on the Seattle offense with 4.5 sacks, but it was a scramble early on where Russell Wilson took a shot going out of bounds that sent him to the locker room with a back injury. He would return to the sidelines, but was not allowed back in the game by trainers. Geno Smith was just unable to move the ball against the Rams defense, as Seattle was not able to even cross into mid field after Wilson went down. Even Seattle's lone touchdown came from a play started in their own end when C.J. Prosise busted off a 56 yard score. It was the lone bright spot in a miserable night for Seattle, who luckily will get some extra time off to forget about it before their next game in Cleveland.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Week 5 Recap

Colts Move to 4-1 Without Luck
Many people didn't give the Colts much of a shot to be competitive after Andrew Luck abruptly retired this offseason, but Jacoby Brissett has been steady leading the Colts so far this season, and the defense has been up to the task as the Colts head into their bye week at 4-1, and in first place in the AFC South. Time will tell if Indy can continue up their great play without their star QB, but for now the signs are positive.
