Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Week 8 Recap

Chiefs, and Rams search for answers
We are half way through the 2019 NFL season which means a lot of mysteries have began to sort themselves out across the league. One that hasn't however is what has happened to the Rams and Chiefs this season. Specifically Kansas City. Their high flying offense has been non-existent the first half of the season, and the defense has not been up to the task of picking up the slack. This has resulted in a dreadful 2-6 start for the Chiefs, and has all but doomed their chances of doing anything significant this season. The Rams meanwhile looked like they had turned it around from their 0-3 start, but back to back bad losses have them back to 3-5, and a full three games back of the division leading Seahawks. Can either of these teams turn it around in the second half?

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Week 9 Preview vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Seattle - Riding a two game lead in the NFC West at the halfway point. The Seattle Seahawks head home this week to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Looking to jump to 7-2 on the year, the Seahawks have turned their number one rushing attack into a force that the whole NFC needs to deal with. Russell Wilson has been relegated to a game manager almost it seems but he has handled the job well with only 5 INT this season while leading the weakest passing attack in football. Meanwhile they welcome a Tampa Bay team that after a 0-4 start has jumped their record to 2-4-1, and picked up impressive results with a tie over the New Orleans Saints, and their big road win last week at Tennessee. Jameis Winston went off in that game throwing for 398 yards, and 4 TD. Seattle will look to slow down that passing attack and rack up another W en route to the playoffs. Kickoff is set for 1:05 PM this Sunday from CenturyLink Field.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Wilson's Late Fumble Dooms Seahawks Comeback Bid

Seattle - For three quarters the Seattle Seahawks were getting absoutely dominated by Tampa Bay. Jameis Winston was throwing the ball wherever he wanted to, and the Seahawks offense could not get the ball moving. That all changed in the fourth when Russell Wilson decided to take over. Seattle cut a 28-7 deficit down to 28-25, and got the ball back with all the momentum with 2:28 left. Wilson marched Seattle down the field, then on a third down play the field opened up, and Wilson took off from the 34 yard line, and looked like he was going to take it all the way for a game winning touchdown. An ill advised leap however cost Seattle dearly, as the ball popped free, and Tampa Bay recovered with 21 seconds left. Seattle was one yard short of a victory, and the Buccaneers secured their third straight win. Wilson's fumble wasn't the only problem like we mentioned. Jameis Winston went off for 421 yards and three touchdown's as he has played exceptional during this win streak. Chris Carson and the run game could not get going at all Sunday, and there may be more problems on that front as Carson looks like he may miss some time with a bad shoulder. The good news for Seattle is that they still maintain their two game lead in the division with Arizona's loss on Thursday, so their playoff aspirations look to still be in tact, however hopes for home field or a first round bye may take a hit. In the meantime they'll get an extra day to think about it, as their next game isn't until next Monday night when they take a trip to Levi's Stadium to take on the San Francisco 49ers. Kickoff is at 5:15 PM.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Week 10 Preview at San Francisco 49ers

Santa Clara - Coming off a backbreaking loss at home to Tampa Bay, the Seattle Seahawks head out on the road, where they've had the most success this season surprisingly amassing a 4-0 record, to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. The Niners have had their ups and downs this season, especially on defense where they are ranked near the bottom of the league, along with Seattle. With both defenses struggling we may be in for a shootout between two NFC West teams who not so long ago were known for their dominate defense. Seattle holds a two game lead still in the NFC West but is looking to make a push for more a home game after the wild card. They need to start racking up the wins to do so. The game will kick off at 5:15 PM from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Penny's Career Day Lifts Hawks Over Niners

Santa Clara - Rashaad Penny started slow, but turned Monday night into a career defining night rushing for 163 yards and 3 TD in Chris Carson's absence, and Seattle pulled away with a 17-0 effort in the 4th quarter to defeat their division rivals 37-27. With the injury bug really biting the Seahawks offense someone needed to step up, and Penny seemed more than up to the task breaking off two big TD runs late in the game to help Seattle secure the win. It kept Seattle two games up in the division race as we come down the stretch here late in the season, and gives Seattle momentum heading into their late bye week where they hope to heal some guys up for the final push to the playoffs. The next time we will see Seattle is 13 days from now when they head across country to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night football.

Re: Life After the Boom - Madden 20 Seattle Seahawks Franchise

Week 10 Recap

Rookie Kyler Murray, Cardinals Push for Playoffs

Number one overall pick Kyler Murray has the Arizona Cardinals at 5-5 through ten games this season. Two games back in the NFC west, the Cardinals are right on the heels of the Green Bay Packers however to push for a wild card berth in this years playoffs. It would be a stunning turn around for a franchise that looked as lifeless as could be last season, and it's thanks to the dynamic rookie, who has steadied the quarterback in Arizona for the first time in years.
