NMSU won a tense battle in El Paso versus UTEP in the Battle of I-10. NMSU narowly lead at the half and didn't get breathing room until 5:34 in the 4th when Booth connected with Alexander to give the Aggies a 2 touchdown lead.

New Mexico State came into Utah to face the Utes and the game was just what everyone was expecting. The Utes were easily the better team from the word go. NMSU tried to keep things close by milking the time as much as possible when on offense but that only helped so much and then didn't help when they found themselves behind and had to pass.

The game was never really in doubt. Indeed, the final score is deceiving, since the Aggies made it look closer than it really was thanks to garbage time scores.

Once again, feature back Jason Justice went down on injury for the Aggies. This time he went down on the very first play and never returned. He's missed so much time over the last two seasons that you wonder if Coach S will start him again.

One bright spot is that NMSU has landed a pair of recruits who inked deals to be Aggies. First is 3* OLB Nick Brown, a Run Stopper from Hewitt, Texas. The second is a very impressive signing; John Brown a 4* a Speed WR from El Monte, CA.

NMSU is a completely different team with Jason Justice being healthy. Today's game against in-state rival New Mexico showed that. Coming off last game where Justice was injured in the first play and didn't return, Justice was back to his electric dominating self.

The Lobos had very little solution to any time Justice touched the ball. Two plays in particular show just how electric Justice is. The first was him busting out wide on a pitch play to go 68 yards to score. The second he took a seemingly non-gaining screen play from Booth and took it 32 yards.

Justice also let the Aggies passing attack get a breather. Booth threw a great pass which connected with Lambert across the middle and Lambert took it to the house for an 84 yd TD.

Unfortunately for the Aggies they now have a 2 week break, then have 1-3 Hawaii coming to New Mexico.

Thinking of looking over settings. Intercepts don't happen much, but I may leave that, since it seemed like NCAA 14 intercepts were too much. I sim special teams and my 80+ kicker missed 3 field goals of 38, 32, and 31 yards.

Once again, as Jason Justice goes, so go the Aggies. For the second game in a row, which is also the 2nd win a row for the Aggies, Justice was healthy and great. Justice did get injured, but only missed a couple plays this time.

How healthy Justice stays will be a key point, as NMSU enters their next part of the schedule. At 4-2 NMSU is looking good, but the schedule gets tougher from here. Much tougher. NMSU has 5 games straight on the road, before finally coming home to end the regular season against Arizona State.
