Only 8 teams in the ACC? I am all for Geographical alignments (it's how I do the bulk of mine too), but surprised you didnt add in some South Carolina, Kentucky or Virginia schools, will be interesting to see where every fits.
By the way congrats on the 5-0. When are the Poll's going to give the Zips some love.

Yeah it's going to be interesting with the conferences.
Also I know right? The polls are hating on us big time right now
Akron, OH Another first for the Zips this season, the offense couldn't get the job done. Coach Arth knew this would be a tough game, and tried to make sure his players were in this game 100% and ready. Unfortunately, the offense just couldn't get anything done against the Bobcat defense. It seemed like anything Coach Peters called, the Bobcats had an answer.
Akron did strike first though. They would be forced to short throws and small runs, but eventually would find pay dirt. Kato would find Julian Hicks from just a yard out to take the early lead 7-0. This would be the only score in the first quarter.
Ohio wasn't going to let the score look like that going into halftime. It took them awhile, but the Bobcats would rush the ball in from 3 yards out with Rogers to tie the game up at 7-7 and head into halftime with momentum.
Julian Hicks with a quick catch Touchdown!
Remember that momentum we just talked about? The Bobcats came straight out of the locker room and took the opening kickoff of the 2nd half for 100 yards and a score to take the lead over the Zips 14-7. The Bobcat bench was going crazy, while the Zips bench is questioning what is happening.
Neither team could manage any kind of offense, but Akron would find themselves with great field position after a Bobcat turnover. The Zips offense wouldn't be able to manage to move the ball and would have to settle with a 22 yard field goal from Smigel to cut into the score into 14-10. Ohio Bobcats would answer with their own field goal on the next drive as Vandenberg would kick a 27 yarder to increase their lead 17-10.
Akron would find themselves on a bit of a drive to end the 3rd quarter. The team went to the sidelines and Coach Peters tried to rally the troops. He told them that this is their game to win. He said the defense was doing the best job they could, it was our turn to go out there and help them out. Within a minute into the 4th quarter, Kato Nelson would find Jeremiah Knight from 12 yards out and tie the game up at 17-17.
The Akron sideline has some energy now, they have played their way back into the game and is looking for overtime. They know they have a better shot if they can force Ohio to overtime, but the Bobcats had other plans. With just 9 seconds left in the game, Ross would run the ball into the endzone from 4 yards out and shatter the hearts of Zips fans in attendance. The undefeated season was no more as the Ohio Bobcats win 24-17.

Wow. You roll through non-conference play like your one of the best teams in the nation and then you fall to a MAC squad. Crazy.. Top-25 rankings typically are very bias to the Team Overall. I am guessing your Overall with Akron is not very good so you probably need like 9-10 wins before you crack the Top-25 now that you lost a game.
DeKalb, IL After suffering a loss last week, the Zips came in and played with some passion and rebounded. They dominated both sides of the ball, allowing only 270 yards of total offense. Akron's offense would go on to get 595 yards in a 49-28 rout of the Huskies. The game started strong for Akron who would jump out to a early 14-0 lead, but would soon give it up as the Huskies would power back and tie it up 14-14 in the 2nd quarter.
Before halftime, Akron would get some good luck fall in their laps. Cole Gest would run it in to take a 20-14 lead after the PAT was missed. Then after a turnover on the Huskies first play of their drive, Kato Nelson would take a shot down field with about :15 seconds to go in the half and would find Morris for a 60 yard score to increase their lead 27-14 at halftime.
The second half started strong for Northern Illinois, as McCray would take their half opening kickoff to the house to cut the Akron lead 27-21. It wouldn't be until late in the 3rd when we would see another score, and it was Akron delivering on offense. Once again, Kato Nelson would take a shot and find Stewart for 65 yards and a score to increase their lead to 34-21.
The Huskies showed some fight as they would drive down the field and score a touchdown to try and stay in it, but Akron would seal the game late. Burton would rush in for a touchdown, and then Akron's defense would force a turnover which led to another Cole Gest score. Akron's defense would once again force a turnover on downs and they would burn the clock and end the game with a win 49-28.
Kato Nelson would finish the game 12/24, 252 Yds, 2 TDs. Akron would have three different running backs that would find the endzone in this game. Cole Gest ended with 182 Yds & 2 TDs. Michiah Burton ended with 44 Yds & 2 TDs. Peter Hayes-Patrick would finish with 18 Yds & 1 TD.
