Big rebound game for Larrier against Utah State. I'm told by an unnamed source on campus that he also had his best week of class in his Remote Sensing and Imagery Analysis class. They said Larrier was "all business" on campus that week.

Big shout-out to Nate Wilson. 14 tackles on 50 defensive snaps is a hell of a game. Should win POTW by the NCAA for a performance like that.

Then we get to the see-saw though. Great against Utah State and a crucial penalty and leaky defense against SDSU the very next week. It's like the boys aren't focused on just football and airplanes.

Just between me, you and this entire forum...I heard Isenhart and Wilson were getting comfortable with some females on campus to the wee hours on Thursday after classes finished. Not trying to snitch, but, seems the boys might have issues handling success on the field with discipline off it. I'd expect another "focused" week from the team and a bounce-back win coming up.
Hey! There are certain "perks" to being a college football star! As long as it's consensual.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who can serve up 4-5 picks a game. Yeah, I figured he forgot all about the interceptions and was able to just be free and ball out.

Tough loss to the Aztec's. I feel that's a game you got to win if you want to be considered the best of the MWC and make a run at getting ranked.

It's tough because Taylor really seems to be your best option, but sometimes it's tough handing off the ball 30 plus times a game, when your only gaining 3 yards a carry until you break that big one.
I've got some running plays that get me some big chunks of yardage, but they're dependent upon the defense being in certain sets. Specifically, the defense needs to be in man coverage against "strong stretch," covering two receivers on the opposite side while I run around the opposite edge, slowing up to allow the fullback to take out a safety along the way. On just normal power runs, it's a struggle.

Death, taxes, and B-Dawg's Falcons beating their military academy colleagues. I'm sure it's a little frustrating at times dealing with terrible CPU logic, but a win's a win!

It's kind of crazy how I've still unbeaten against them. There have been some close games in there. At times, I've been able to sell out against the run and shut them down, but Navy has become more balanced and Army just found ways to gash me in the last game.

The CPU logic drives me nuts most of the time, like punting on fourth-and-inches from my 40-yard line, but I can't say I was mad they didn't keep feeding the rock to Mr. Anderson. I had no answers.

CLASS OF 2023 RECRUITING UPDATE

5-star safety among 8 Air Force commits

If Air Force wins a national championship in the next few seasons, the Falcons might look back on this week as the moment that pushed them to the next level.

Air Force signed its first five-star prospect in coach B-Dawg’s five-year reign in the person of 80 OVR strong safety DeAndre McCollum of Arvada, Colo.

McCollum is a heavy hitter who was the second-ranked strong safety in the nation. He chose Air Force over Oklahoma State and Missouri.

If McCollum was the only commit, it would have been a great week for Air Force. But he was only the tip of the iceberg as the headliner in a group of seven players to sign on with the Falcons. It’s their largest one-week haul during B-Dawg’s tenure. Three of the players are 75 OVR or higher.

“This might be the week we look back at and say, ‘This is when we became a college football power,’” B-Dawg said. “I am stoked to see what a player like McCollum can do playing at our level.”

Also committing to Air Force are 78 OVR receiver Brian Brown, 75 OVR tight end Josh King, 70 OVR halfback Marion Benjamin, 69 OVR guard Jeff Gallagher, 67 OVR defensive tackle Larry Cruz and 66 OVR guard Matt Keyes.

Benjamin is a speed back who will back up Jared Mann, but could be a poor man’s version of Kadin Remsberg if utilized properly.

During Air Force’s bye week, 66 OVR receiver J.B. White committed to the Falcons. Air Force now has nine players committed with 17 players graduating.

With so many points freed up, B-Dawg jumped into the recruiting battle for five-star athlete Chad Rice of Welch, W. Va., who registers 17% on the commitment meter. Rice is ranked 14th among athletes with the possibility of playing quarterback or receiver.

2022 SEASON, GAME 10 (TAKE ONE)

This scene stared at B-Dawg for minutes before he finally shut down his PS3 after an overtime win at Colorado State.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — It was the greatest game that never happened.

Air Force coach B-Dawg was basking in that immense feeling of satisfaction of a hard-fought 30-27 overtime victory over Colorado State when something didn’t quite look right.

All he saw on his screen was a photo of a Colorado State touchdown from earlier in the game. That photo never left the screen. As B-Dawg frantically hit buttons, hoping the game would come back to life, he realized he’d become the victim of the dreaded game freeze.

“That’s 90 minutes of my life I’ll never get back,” B-Dawg said. “The fact that it was an absolutely epic game makes it even worse.”

Colorado State, a team that has given Air Force fits during B-Dawg’s tenure, got out to a 24-7 lead in the second quarter.

Air Force fought back to force overtime on a David Chapeau field goal with one second left in the fourth quarter on fourth-and-goal from the 3-yard line.

The Falcons won the toss and elected to play defense. A 15-yard catch moved the ball to the Air Force 7-yard line on the second play. After a 2-yard loss, defensive end Quinton Sanders forced a fumble with a sack and linebacker David Whitfield made the recovery.

Now all Air Force had to do was play it safe, move a little closer and kick the winning field goal.

With Jared Mann pounding the rock, Air Force moved to the 5-yard line before Chapeau came on and kicked the winning field goal.

The first sign of trouble was that ESPN didn’t even mention the winning field goal, but immediately went to a studio update.

“I thought that was a horrible way to end such a great game,” B-Dawg said. “I didn’t realize how horrible it would be. I’m guessing the fact they jumped right to the studio messed up something. This will be a tough game to win when we do the restart. I have to sweat and bleed to beat these guys.”

2022 SEASON, GAME 10 (TAKE TWO)

Defensive tackle Hayden Isenhart had three sacks of Colorado State quarterback Joel Bean.

Unlikely sack master
Senior defensive tackle gets 3 sacks
in restart victory over Colorado State

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Defensive tackles are often the forgotten position on B-Dawg’s football teams, seen but rarely heard.

He’s more likely to get sacks from his defensive ends, even his strong safeties in a 4-2-5 scheme.

But 81 OVR senior Hayden Isenhart defied the stereotypes of a B-Dawg interior lineman, racking up three sacks among seven total tackles in Air Force’s 42-33 victory over Colorado State on Nov. 12, 2022.

Even B-Dawg was surprised to learn after the game that Isenhart is his leading sack master with a total of nine. He has 24 tackles, 11 for losses.

“I don’t expect much out of my defensive tackles,” B-Dawg said. “I hope they can occasionally blow up a run on third-and-short, maybe get the odd sack or two during a season, but the defensive ends are the impact players on my lines. Hayden may have earned himself an All-America spot today.”

Air Force had seven total sacks of 74 OVR true freshman quarterback Joel Bean, who held up pretty well under the onslaught. Bean was 22-for-28 for 243 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.

“This is a team that has destroyed us through the air ever since I’ve been here,” B-Dawg said. “I’m not looking forward to seeing what this guy does to us three years down the road.”

This game was a do-over from a game that froze immediately after Air Force came from behind to win in overtime. In that game, defensive end Quinton Sanders made a huge play in overtime, getting a sack that a forced a fumble to set up the winning field goal.

Sanders was determined to make an impact against the Rams again. When Colorado State got within two points on Alex McDowell’s school-record fourth touchdown catch of the game with 4:38 remaining, the Rams went for two points in an attempt to tie the score.

Sanders made the play of the game by stepping up and stuffing a 2-point run to keep the Falcons in the lead.

Air Force then put it away by moving 61 yards in 11 plays, going up by nine points on a 3-yard run by Mann on third-and-goal with 1:10 to go.

While reigning Heisman Trophy winner Trey Taylor had 126 yards on 24 carries, he didn’t score. Mann cleaned up around the goal line with four scoring runs of three yards or less, giving him nine touchdowns this season.

Air Force is still in the hunt for a berth in the Mountain West Conference championship game. The Falcons are tied for first place at 4-2 with New Mexico, their opponent in the final game of the regular season.

Jared Mann ran for four touchdowns.
