Re: #CHIEFSKINGDOM | Madden 22
Taking a break from this as EA has yet to figure out the server issue (cannot upload draft class). Will continue this once that's solved.

Re: #CHIEFSKINGDOM | Madden 22
No luck. It's not a dealbreaker for me as I wasn't likely to use any DC's past this season...but the process of editing the classes is tedious (props to those that do).
I'll probably do the Top 50 or so myself provided EA doesn't come through |

Chiefs Hang On To Edge Bucs By Tyler Barrister | Kansas City Star | September 9th, 2022 Despite missing key players in guard Trey Smith and defensive tackle Chris Jones; and with others like Orlando Brown, Jr., Nik Bonitto, and Nick Bolton still a bit hobbled, the Chiefs were able to put up enough offense to edge the Buccaneers in the season opener on Thursday night, posting a 31-28 victory. The two teams were tied at seven after one quarter, and the Chiefs were knocking on the door of another first-quarter touchdown drive when Patrick Mahomes had the ball stripped from behind on a lost fumble. Mahomes also threw an interception just two plays into the second half that ended up turning into eight Tampa Bay points. It's the fifth meeting between the two teams going back to Week 12 of the 2020 season, with the Chiefs now 3-2 against them in that timeframe, including the preseason game a few weeks ago. One of those wins was in last year's Super Bowl, a 34-19 victory. Mahomes threw for 319 yards and three scores on 34-of-43 passing, at one point completing fifteen straight passes, which said streak began after the White interception. Tom Brady was also in midseason form, completing 35-of-53 passes for 311 yards and a pair of scores as the Bucs had to play catch-up from a 21-10 halftime deficit in the second half. There were some early struggles in the Bucs' passing game as he failed to connect with some new receivers, mainly Tim Patrick and rookie Chris Olave, as most early incompletions appeared to be due to miscommunication. Where the Chiefs controlled the game was in the running game, where Clyde Edwards-Helaire led all rushers with eighty-six yards on seventeen carries and a touchdown, and also caught five passes for thirty-four yards and an additional score. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay ran for just forty-eight yards, with Leonard Fournette getting all of those yards on a dozen carries. Rookie Brian Robinson II had two carries, but did not net any yards. Tampa got on the board in the second half first, with Fournette scoring from three yards out. Bruce Arians rolled the dice and went for two, as Brady connected with Rob Gronkowski on a short pass to convert the two-point try and pull the Bucs to within three halfway through the third. After a touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to newcomer Cedrick Wilson on the next drive, Kansas City added three more on their following possession to put the game seemingly out of reach, 31-18, with just under ten minutes to go. Sandwiched in between the two Kansas City scores was a missed 52-yard field goal attempt from Ryan Succop, who hit other field goals of thirty-eight and thirty-five in the game. As is generally the case with Tom Brady, he nearly engineered a pretty stunning comeback -- after Succop's second field goal with six minutes remaining, the Bucs' defense was able to force a three-and-out, the first of the game by the Chiefs, to put Brady back on the field with a chance to cut the lead to just one score. He did just that, capping off the following drive with a 17-yard touchdown to Scotty Miller. Tampa overcame a sack by Joshua Kaindoh, and a holding penalty on second down to punch the ball in. However, the Chiefs recovered the onside attempt with about a minute to go, and were unable to get the ball back as the Chiefs came up with enough offense to get at least one first down and bleed out the rest of Tampa Bay's timeouts, and ultimately the clock. "We weren't too sharp in the first half, with a couple of turnovers, but we managed to right the ship and come out of here with a victory," said coach Andy Reid in the post-game press conference. "Doubt could have crept in after the two turnovers, but to our guys' credit, they didn't fold up and they kept going." Kaindoh's sack in the fourth quarter was his first career sack, and Derrick Nnadi also collected a sack in the third quarter. Tampa Bay linebacker Joe Tryon-Shroyinka had both of Tampa's sacks on the night. Kansas City out-gained Tampa 425-338, including 121-48 on the ground, and had twenty-four first downs to the Bucs' nineteen. The Chiefs were also a blistering 8-for-11 on third down (72.7%), while Tampa converted at a solid 46% clip (7-for-15).

Snap Counts: Tampa Bay By Tyler Barrister | Kansas City Star | September 10th, 2022 Each week throughout the season we will track the snaps played by every player on Kansas City's roster. As the season goes on, we'll also update the totals for the year. Here are the snap counts for the 31-28 win over the Buccaneers. There were sixty-eight snaps on the offensive side of the ball for the Chiefs, while the defense was on the field for sixty-seven. Offense: Patrick Mahomes 68, Andrew Wylie 68, Joe Thuney 68, Lucas Niang 68, Creed Humphrey 68, Orlando Brown, Jr., 68, Travis Kelce 65, Clyde Edwards-Helaire 58, Cedrick Wilson 54, Tyreek Hill 48, Noah Gray 32, Mecole Hardman 31, Michael Burton 20, Romeo Doubs 13, Darrel Williams 12, Ty Fryfogle 10, Justin Skule 5, Tyler Badie 4, Elijah McGuire 3, Daurice Fountain 2 Aside from the offensive line and Mahomes, the number that jumps out is that newcomer Cedrick Wilson led all wide receivers in snaps, although out of his fifty-four snaps, he had just four targets and three catches. Rookie Ty Fryfogle, registered just ten snaps, which was the second-lowest of all receivers aside from Daurice Fountain, who had both of his snaps on special teams. Second-year tight end Noah Gray also appears to have a more prominent role in this year's offense, as his thirty-two snaps were more than all but one game in 2021 (36-10 victory over the Steelers). Defense: Juan Thornhill 67, Nik Bonitto 67, Brian Asamoah II 65, Tershawn Wharton 63, Donte Jackson 62, Derrick Nnadi 60, Dorian O'Daniel 54, Markquese Bell 51, Tyrann Mathieu 50, Sam Webb 50, Damon Arnette, Jr., 49, Charvarius Ward 45, Joshua Kaindoh 35, Willie Gay 23, Mike Danna 21, Rashad Fenton 19, L'Jarius Sneed 19, Kana'i Mauga 12, Nick Bolton 12, Ryder Anderson 11, Dante Stills 6 With the pass-heavy Bucs' offense, the Chiefs ran a lot of five and six-man secondaries with three-man fronts, which explains the lower snap counts for guys like Nick Bolton, and increased roles for both Brian Asamoah and Dorian O'Daniel, who is expected to see an increased role on defense this season. Both Rashad Fenton and L'Jarius Sneed went out early with knee and back injuries, respectively, playing just nineteen snaps each. Rookie Markquese Bell, who impressed all through training camp, actually led all safeties in snaps with fifty-one. Donte Jackson played sixty-two snaps, while Damon Arnette, Jr., the former Raider first-rounder, played forty-nine snaps along with fifty from rookie Sam Webb, as all three had to take on an increased role due to the injuries to Fenton and Sneed. Neither one is expected to miss any additional time.

Re: #CHIEFSKINGDOM | Madden 22
Indianapolis at Kansas City: Storylines By Tyler Barrister | Kansas City Star | September 18th, 2022 Here are three things we're watching as we're about an hour from kickoff: 1. Tackling Taylor the focus of Chiefs' practice this week Carson Wentz had a nice game against his old team, throwing for 223 yards and two scores in their 31-17 win over the Eagles last week, but Jonathan Taylor's combined 162 yards and two touchdowns from scrimmage certainly caught the attention of coaches throughout the week of practice, as they constantly drilled into the players that tackling was paramount. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo was at the forefront of that, re-iterating in the Thursday press conference with the assistant coaches that they focused mainly on making sure they tackled well on Sunday. 2. Injury report a little thinner this week Cornerback Donte Jackson will be out for this game, as he suffered a wrist injury on Thursday in practice, and didn't practice the rest of that day, or during the walkthrough on Friday. Defensive tackle Chris Jones and guard Trey Smith are also inactive, but both managed to get at least one day of practice this week, even if on a limited basis. Head coach Andy Reid noted that they would likely be available next week at home against the Chargers. Also, cornerbacks L'Jarius Sneed and Rashad Fenton suffered no ill effects from their injuries last week, and are full-go for today along with tight end Jody Fortson, who is listed as probable and expected to play a limited number of snaps as the third tight end, nearly a year after suffering an Achilles tear. Justin Skule, a reserve offensive lineman, played a handful of snaps last week as a sixth offensive lineman in short-yardage situations. Runningback Elijah McGuire and offensive linemen Justin Shaffer and Dare Rosenthal are inactive, leaving seven active offensive linemen. 3. Continuing the home cookin' The Chiefs will look to push their home winning streak to eight, as their last home loss was 38-20 to Buffalo in Week 5 a year ago. They were 7-2 at home a season ago, and have won 14 of their last 18 home games dating back to the beginning of the 2020 season.
