Along with Darron Gibson from Man United on loan
Love having money to spend.
Saivet was just highly recommended to me by my scouts, so that would be a great pickup.

Did wind up signing Saivet for 6 Mill. Also brought in at the last minute Nugent, Boa Marte, and from Arsenal, Jack Wilshere all on season long loans.
Hopefully they'll gel in time for a playoff push.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Can someone explain this one to me? So, as I've posted before, I just signed Vagner Love on a free from Man City. However, he was denied the initial work permit and then the permit on the appeal. From my understanding of work permits, I would then need to loan him out until he gained citizenship. Well, a few months later, he is available (and starting) for me against Chelsea in the EPL season opener. How is this possible? Do I just not understand work permits?

I have no explanation for this other than maybe you misread and he did get his permit, or either he gain nationality somehow. really don't know.

And with 10 games to go, I'm 7 points and 7 teams behind the last playoff spot

No, the permit, I am sure, was denied...

He also only has Brazilian citizenship...

It's puzzling then, but he still shouldn't have been denied a permit in the first place with the amount of caps he has.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

The reason Vagner Love's (God, that is a great name) work permit was denied was "if a footballer's work permit were to be extended, then that player would be expected to have been a regular member of his club's first team by playing in the region of 75% of first team games." He only appeared in 4 games for Man City in over 2 seasons. It still doesn't explain why he is allowed to play now though...
