Re: The "I need a challenge" thread

After looking over the tables, I've decided to take up the manager post at Mali.

The African qualifiers haven't started yet, so I have full influence over my performance. The giants in the group ar Ghana (33), the otehr teams are Benin (78) and Sudan (97).

If I could take a point from Ghana, maybe I will get lucky and they will fault against either of the other two. Fingers crossed. I'll be posting updates as I go.

So, why not vacation ahead to the start of qualifying for Brazil 2014, then pick a team?

Nah, if a person wants to do that, they can get it done themselves. I just think that option gives you more of a choice of teams. And if we're going with lower ranked teams, being in a hole makes it harder than it already will be.

I think I'm going to go with the 2014 full qualifying route.

EDIT: whitesox is working on setting one up for those that want to go full qualifying. I think I might go with the CONMEBOL marathon, which starts in October of 2011.

Re: The "I need a challenge" thread

Working on holidaying to the qualifying start.

There will be 4 saves.

The first will take place right after the 2010 world cup. If you want to go the full road, start here. The second will take place in August 2011. This save is for people who want to play as a nation in the AFC, OFC, CAF, or COMENBOL. You will have ample space for friendlies to ready your squad. The third will start in December 2011. This is for people who want to play as a nation in CONCACAF. The fourth save will be July 2011. This is for people who want to play as a UEFA nation.

The 3 later saves pick up 2-3 months before qualifying starts.

Re: The "I need a challenge" thread

Big thanks Jaa for the great idea and to whitesox for setting this up.

I plan on attempting one team in each federation.
