Hm. I'm wondering if this appied automatically yesterday when I fired up FM through Steam. At the beginning, it delayed and I had to re-open my desktop shortcut.

Steam "should" update everytime you open the game up if it is not the latest version. I don't play through Steam so I do not know if there should have been a notice or not.

STEAM automatically updates each time so you should be fine
