Re: Contemplating the jump to FM13 from FIFA13

New player here, I've become a big fan of the fifa series this year as it dominates my time and I've always been a big fan of OTTP, so I thought football manager would be a great blending of soccer and a management sim type game. I'm just wondering any downloads I should do when I first start my game for jersey packs and facepacks?

Well, I got it on release and have thus far put over 120 hours into it. LMAO It's all your guys fault.

Playing as the Crew and am currently in 2016. Hardest part is finding good domestic players. MLS rules only allow 8 internationals and the NA Cup allow only 5 (including subs).

I made the jump from Fifa to FM recently. I downloaded the FM 13 demo off steam a couple weeks ago and I haven't played Madden or Fifa since. I'm definitely going to pony up and purchase the full game.

I decided to start unemployed as a 36 yr old, English born, previous International player. I applied for an open job with Blackburn and got it.
I'm absolutely LOVING this game. I didn't know much about Striker Jordan Rhodes before playing FM... but I sure do now. He's been a beast for me.

Ironically, I Googled Jordan Rhodes and his real-life stats are very close to what I'm getting in my 1st season managing him and Blackburn. That is what is so cool about this game. I did research on the players in real-life and applied some of that knowledge to my tactics and starting 11 and it's working. Back to playing!

Re: Contemplating the jump to FM13 from FIFA13

read this thread a few weeks ago and it made me download FM13...
I LOVE IT! I feel like i still dont quite understand everything but for the most part i get it. It took like a week to really figure out what i was doing and after that I've been hooked.
I think I've only played FIFA 3 or 4 times since, and I'm always like "man, but in FM13 you can do this, this, and this."
Definitely going to get 14

Re: Contemplating the jump to FM13 from FIFA13

I know what you are saying. I had my friend over who is a big Fifa fan. I didn't even buy this years version so I hadn't played 13. The whole time we were playing I was thinking about what tactics I would be using or shouts I would have going out. In Fifa none of that matters and it just a matter of stick jockeying techniques. FM has spoiled me.
