    Franchise Sim Logic Issues

Wanted to start a thread for this for anyone else noticing things to add on to.

    First two glaring issues:

    1. CPU CONSISTENTLY setting their lineups with players out of position.

    2. CPU adding injured players back into the 26-man roster/or simply calling up/down. Prioritizing extra batters instead of keeping 13 pitchers. Multiple times I’ve seen teams carrying 12 or even 11 pitchers.

Two of the most frustrating things I’ve seen so far in sim tests.
    What about you guys?

Something to help if you use 30 team control is for cpu teams injury management set to MLB only. Every IL stint that pops up I manually move players up to replace that make sense. Also, set sim injury slider to zero when you advance day simulating Minor league games. Roster size too small to have enough injuries on MLB team if the low durability of those guys filling up the IL. Plus you will not have a problem replacing an injured MLB player with someone decent. Injuries somehow still happen even with it at 0, but at least the IL is mostly filled with MLB players over guys who you may never play with.

Lineup logic is probably the next big thing they fix (hopefully next year) with the fix for bullpen logic this year. I always just help set lineups for them using fan graphs or what I feel is best before I start a series. They still jumble it around a ton to rest players so really not much you can do. Playing out of position isn't anything you could fix unless you switch controller over beginning of game to fix it.

I gave 30 team control like you mentioned and just did some simming to see what it would be like to manage it. Input all the injuries and such for 10+ hours one evening. Started to sim the following day to see what it would be like as the season progressed. Got to be too much to deal with and I felt myself falling back into the days MLB 23 and all the games prior where I never finished any seasons because I always wanted my world to match the real world. Last year, I promised myself I’d just play and enjoy the game. And I did that and enjoyed franchise so much more. I love the idea of 30 team control and managing every teams injuries and trying to match things to real life as much as possible, or at least setting things up initially and then letting the chips fall where they may during that first season, but I have restart-itis and can’t do it lol

If you set CPU profile teams to MLB only and your sim injury slider isn't super high you shouldn't have many notifications pop up for injury. What I do is go into calendar day to simulate manually one at a time before I play my game, then address injuries one game at a time. 99% of the time a game simulates with no injury pop up or a day to day where no IL stint is needed. Everything under CPU profile is auto except injury management right?

To not restart maybe simulate more games?

then the stats get out of whack and you have your slow C or 1B get Caught Stealing like twice every other game.
