I'm new to baseball and bought last years game as it was on gamepass and really enjoyed it so bought this year's version. I have played a few exhibition games and have noticed no matter where I hit the ball the player will only run to the next base. For instance if I have a player at first base and the hitter will hit the ball to the back of the field, the player at first base can easily run to third but will only run to the second every time. I didn't have this issue in 24 but it's happening all the time. Is it something in the settings I need to change or a bug?

Or tap the left trigger button. If you do this be careful not to do it too much or you will send the batter to second.Comment

Sounds like you used to use auto-base running. If you want more control over your base runners, you can use LB/L1 to advance all or pick the specific runner you want by aiming the left stick at them and then hitting the button to the base you want to sent them (i.e. guy is at 1st and on his way to second, but you want to send him to 3rd so you aim the LS at him and press Square on PS5 or X on XBox).Comment
