Why did the randomly remove Sounds Of The Show?
I'm not talking about removing the feature to upload tracks yourself. I mean the broadcast clips of the biggest highlights that happened in the previous season. Another fun feature that is now just...gone.Tags: None -

To free up space to add in additional audio in game like commentary, crowd chants, specific stadium sounds, etc

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Not sure I buy this argument. It’s 2025! If games can end up being ~ 150GB, a few MBs aren’t going to cause much issue I’d think.

I'd give up the random radio show most didn't listen to (I play with commentary off in game, which actually turned that off in the menu too) for even a marginally smaller file size tbh.

Originally posted by DonkeyJoteThis game is already very large. It's 105 GB on Xbox. Compare that to Madden (56 GB), College Football (33.4 GB), or EA FC 24 (64 GB). It's not quite 2k bad (140.7 GB), but that game's size is a huge part of why I haven't bought it in the last few years.

I get your point. Wish they would’ve left it as an option in that case, though. I didn’t really listen, but in principle I hate seeing things removed that some liked.

A few MBs to be used in game versus just as “menu music” is a trade off that I’m sure a vast majority of the community would accept.

I used to like this feature as well. I would always upload audio from some of my own favorite all time Cardinals moments and use them to play while I was in the menus.
