We have a list at Walmart that shows when the games get shipped out, today was the day that the game should have shipped..so its possible.

I don't think I've ever went this long without playing a baseball game! Its been since October, since I gave my ps3 away.

Same here, I traded in my PS3 in November, but got rid of TS in Oct or Sept. (I usually play games with the seasons), BUT another reason why I'm buying this year digitally. I think I'm done with Madden for a while, so I'll play the show year round.

lol, I gave my ps3 and all my games to my brother for his wedding gift! btw, my best man speech was classic, I started out by telling everyone "they looked great tonight!"

Now, it's not so much convincing the old ladies, but the registers. They won't even ring up because of the street date.

That can't possibly be true. I know some Walmarts have rung up those games before their release date.

A few years ago, one of my local Walmarts (I lived in Chattanooga at the time, but I forget if it was the Walmart on Gunbarrel Rd or the Walmart over by Lil Debbie Parkway) put out the new version of The Show days before the release date.

(In Walmart's defense, that was the year when The Show made the questionable decision of having Joe Mauer repeat as the cover athlete, so the cover looked vaguely the same as the previous year's game with it being the same guy with his same swing in front of a blue-ish background -- so I'm not surprised it wound up on the shelf early since it was probably mistaken for the previous year's game by a careless employee.)

Anyway... the only reason I didn't buy a copy was because the PS3 version had already sold out. They only had a copy or two of the PS2 version still left on the shelf.

So they had obviously been ringing them up and selling them.

I wouldn't be surprised if PS4 versions wind up on shelves early this year too (depending on how lazy/careless your local stores' electronics department staff is). It'll be too confusing for some of those workers to understand that they're not supposed to put the PS4 version out when they've had the PS3 and Vita versions on their shelves for weeks.

It's just luck-of-the-draw whether you have a store staffed with people who care (or who know what they're doing) or not.

It's true. I tried to buy The Show early a few years back and the register showed that it was street dated and wouldn't ring through without mgr override. They did not override (though they did the prior year)

Yeah. I guess some Walmarts may be different and if a manager overrides the sale it may be possible. All depends on the Walmart you go to I guess. A couple of Walmarts around my way had the PS3 version of MLB 14 the show a week before release and I had them bring it up to the register only to be denied at the register.

I was in Target yesterday and asked about the show, they said they got it that morning, but couldn't give me a copy. So close, but yet so far!
