reading the previous posts over some more, I see I need to clarify. The Show for PS4 is coming out May 6th, no doubt. What I was speaking of is the new firmware update for the PS4 that allows pre download functionality to download the digital version before it launches in order to play immediately on May 6th at midnight. The April 30th date I was referring to was the launch date of this firmware. My apologies for the confusion.

Okay, But since this is a thread is about " getting the game early " people might have thought you were talking about that.

At the rate he's going, you could try it with Tanaka. The guy is straight beast mode right now.

lol, I know I can't use Mussina! He was my favorite pitcher however. And yeah, think I'll use Tanaka in my first game! The cool part is if I get close to any no-hitter, I'll be able to broadcast it live! That'll make me even more nervous though!

I so badly wanted to call BS on the OP, so glad Russell came in and did it. If the game had shipped people would have it and there would be videos around already.

I know I can get mine May 1st or 2nd, but as it always is, it's 3 to 3.5 hours round trip to do so for me. I did it for the PS3 version and took some local to the area clients out for lunch to make the trip worthwhile.

I wonder if they want to go out again

Other than the fact that a developer of the game has pretty much indicated that it is impossible for them to have the game, strongly insinuating that the game has not shipped yet, I TOTALLY BELIEVE YOU!!1!! OMGZ!

Yes, and now that you put the stores name and location out there, and said they break street date, SCEA knows NOT to ship to them.

Not the way it works. These mom n pop shops get their games through distributor channels (gamestop being one of them) not directly from SCEA.

But I do agree to not put the number.

I really dont care at this point about them not being shipped to because A. they have been stringing us along all week when they could have just said "nope wont have the game til the 6th". And B. since it clearly hasn't been shipped they didnt release anything early this time so i dont know what trouble they'd be in for that. But I dont get why everyone seems so heated at us about this when were just honestly middle men at this point. They told us everyday for a week to "call back tomorrow" up until monday, then tuesday they miraculously said it was sold out which is total horse sh##t. Trust me, not happy about it either cuz i thought id be playing the game now and planned my week based around it. And the crappy thing was that it wasnt just one misinformed employee giving us one wrong bit of info, it was a week long process of us reading om here from the developer it hasnt shipped then calling the store and them saying check tomorrow then to being sold out and going back and forth. Its like wtf, like im not that much of a mark or fanboy that i even care about waiting til the 6th, its just frustrating being played with when a simple "no dont have it" would have been fine.
