hitter tendencies

I thought I read somewhere that certain hitter tendencies will prevent some players from hitting opposite field home runs.

I think most players have more power when they pull the ball. Which tendencies are more likely to prevent opposite field home runs?

I thought I read that opposite field hitters are more likely to hit line drives to right. Can anyone confirm this?
