8 guys in my lineup are cold on the angels. I have been playing the show for years and have always had pretty good hitting using pure analog. This year the hitting just seems to be off for some reason. Fastballs are too fast and off speed balls are just to slow. The hitting does not feel organic like last year. I am either always late on a fastball or always early on off speed. It just feels wonky. I don't know why they felt the need to change the stride timing I thought it was perfect in years past. I even put the pitch speed down to one for the first time ever and I'm still late on fastballs and the breaking balls are even slower lol. Maybe I'm just getting old lol. This is the first year of the show ever that my hitting has been this bad. Oh well, I am just going to keep at it and hope I break out of this slump because if one more of my guys goes cold i am afraid my screen will be full of nothing but snowflakes :-).

I'm pretty sure the icons are for information only. I don't think they effect ratings or performance in any way.

10 games for hitters.

4 starts for starters.

6 appearances for releivers.

Nothing more; nothing less. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is how it works.

I'm starting to think this is the case. Mike Olt has been cold for a long time for me but I just went 3-for-5 including a home run, a double, and 5 RBIs. He's still "cold". I don't think it affect performance.

First 18 games of the season for me and the Orioles are simming as an ice cold team. Six guys with the snowflake, and the team is batting under .200 with only 6 home runs, 38 runs scored, as a team. wow..

In comparison, Robinson Cano is hitting over .400 with 8 home runs, 20 rbi, himself lol

I think Cold/Hot is way, way overdone in this game.

When my Locked player was hot, I was hitting a homer when jammed, a homer to the opposite field with ease.

When he got cold, I could not buy a hit.

This is NOT fun.

Please, tone down the Hot/Cold settings!!

Exactly my thoughts as this game doesnt need all the skewed stuff just good click sliders as a option for balance.

It just feels so unrewarding most of the time like Im not even playing So why even play if what I do means little at key moments for sake of sim ??? Solid hits go nowhere bad swing Homers ect and no thats not just baseball its not fun !!! and very unrewarding as a sports gamer .

The gameplay AI is very stale and it needs a overhaul as its basically been the same tweaked game for many years now so having real click sliders and not random stuff you can't control as a option to play may be the ticket

Could this series ever have real interaction based off of skill as a option ?
