Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I'll probably get the game anyway but my main problems this year were the moments in which the frame rate tanks and the long load times. If those get fixed with next year's game I'd already be way happier with the game.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
The absence of Sounds of the Show is the reason I don't own a PS4. Sure, the game has improved in a lot of other areas. But, Sounds of the Show is HUGE for the feel of the games. I always look forward to playing at home, so I can hear my songs. On PS4, every game would feel like a road game. Other improvements aside, this makes it feel like an overall downgrade from the PS3 version.
All sports games should include custom soundtracks.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
Bring the option back to not see the cutscenes. I like the option to see the ball throwing around the infield after a hit or out.
The commentary sounded a little better on the PS4 but still needs a ton more work. I want it to sound like all three are in the same room together.
Franchise mode: Pre and Post game show talking about that days games plus highlights of the other games and who is hot and who is not.
A litte thing but it was in the PS3 version maybe it was a bug in the PS4 version. The chalk lines in the PS4 version were always perfect where in the PS3 version you would see the wear and tear on field but they would reset.MLB: Chicago Cubs
NFL: San Diego Chargers
NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
NBA: Chicago Bulls
NCAA: Iowa HawkeyesComment

-The ability to creat offline custom leagues so that we can set up accurate historic rosters.
-For the PCI to actually mean something in the game.
-The numerous fielding issues to be sorted.
-Loading times and frame rates.
-Stop all the BS cpu comebacks, user fielding errors etc. that occur when you play on the higher levels or give us an option to turn it on/off like in a previous version The Show.Comment

Yes............Stat tracking is pathetic and out dated.
The quote from HPS looks resembles the stats available in franshise mode.

First off love this game and will buy no matter what.
Editable draft classes: this I think will help out with future sim stats, and you can add real players so your OSFM stays intact w no fictional players without having to start a new franchise.
One small thing in progression: the only thing that bothers me about progression is for pitchers control and velocity should not be categorized together. Guys throwing 96 in the bigs already do not need to be adding velocity, but will need to be able to add control you should be able to work on one without the other.Comment

Agree...and agree.
Velocity and speed(running) should be pretty much constants. Maybe you might be able to increase one or both through training...SLIGHTLY...but they should pretty much remain static until age and/or injury lessen them.
IMO.

I feel like I should already know this, but what do you mean when you say "editable draft classes?"

He means the upcoming amateur draft players.
Right now you have to wait until drafted....AND wait until the following year in order to edit them to real players.
It would be nice to do it pre-draft.

I will need expansion teams. Please. I love in OOTP getting my New Orleans Zephyrs and bringing them to the top with an expansion. With that and creating your own stadium, which they had on Madden 07 on PS2, I will be set.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
Fix new player generation and simmed stats when the current players have retired. As a RTTS player I put in alot of hours and I play through to the end of my career alot. So to see a game being completely and utterly broken when my guy is in his 30's just saddens me. The League ends up filled with junk throwing pitchers and run production goes through the roof. Most pitchers in the later years can go a month without striking anyone out... A month!!
It's not slightly broken, it is completely and utterly broken.
Right with that out of the way, commentary needs a complete overhaul, it's stale and repetitive and not at all befitting an amazing sports game.
Players models need work too, the PS4 version is just the PS3 models with some spit and polish, the arms, chest and shoulders look wrong on players.
Expand the RTTS mode, make it more immersive we want to make our journey from draftee to superstar and yet it feels lifeless, we get a handful of cutscenes before games and the milestone work is minimal. I came to bat on the cusp of breaking the DiMaggio hitting streak and the commentators said nothing, not before the game not as I was walking up to the plate, nothing.
A twitter feed or something similar is a must, I just feel disconnected from the league as a whole, I'm an MVP and yet outside of games my impact on the league is negligible.
I know some find the MyPlayer mode in next gen NBA2k cheesy but it's invigorated the mode for me, it makes games varied, gives you a reason to keep on chugging and lessens the feeling of things being an endless grind. Maybe take some aspects of that and incorporate it into RTTS, so it doesn't feel like an endless grind.
Mostly I want to feel part of something, with my team, my manager, GM, teammates, and with the league. If I'm on a slump I want to feel like my teammates sympathise, want me to break out of it, I want the media to ask me what I'm doing differently and if I'm hot etc etc. If I'm given a chance to walkoff, I want to see my Manager give me a few words of encouragement, my teammates urging me on, I want to feel part of it all and at the moment I don't.
It's a disconnected lifeless grind in RTTS for me at the moment and it shouldn't, single player modes have so much potential that's just being wasted.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I don't play franchise. While agree retractable roofs needs to be in, we don't have that option at this point. Be thankful you can change the weather in franchise mode. I don't play RTTS so I didn't know you can't change the weather.
BTW I'm playing a franchise with Seattle and NOT once has the weather been pre-set to rain (it rains in Seattle frequently in real life) so you're not always "forced" to change the weather.
My RTTS pitcher plays for Seattle and i've pitched at home in the rain on numerous occasions.
Retractable roof versions of these stadiums is something that really needs to be in the game by now.NFL : Atlanta Falcons
MLB : Toronto Blue Jays
