Tendencies - what do some of the numbers mean? Specifically Hitting & Pitching Diff

Wondering what a few specific numbers mean in the Tendencies screen.

The stuff that JaggerLeaf says about Percentiles looks to be correct to me. I would agree with what he says about those numbers.

What I am interested in most is the Hitting Diff and Pitching Diff numbers. My hitting is set to Legend difficulty, so is that what 4 means - Legend? When I look through the Leaderboards, I mostly see 2 just about everywhere. I can only assume this means All-Star. I have seen 1 which I would think indicates Veteran. I have been able to find one 0, which I can only assume is Rookie - take a look at this profile:

I feel like the PCI is getting bigger every year. I played offline on All-Star and the PCIs are huge for mediocre players. They're too big on Legend, too, in my opinion. I've found that having my settings at Legend has negated everyone else I have played, and the PCIs appear to be Legend size all the time in my online games. Can anyone else speak on the subject?

I don't know what any of that stuff means but I agree on the PCI being way too big. I play on Legend too and I still have to lower Contact to bring it to a comfortable size. I don't want to put everything in play.

I think the tendency things doesn't work all that well anyways, and I'm not sure where things are going wrong but the numbers quite often go wacky (like becoming zero for no reason...). Not sure if it's just reading/computing the numbers that's going wrong, but I don't find them all that reflective of how my online friends play their games (on DD Extra Inning), so it's kind of meaningless anyways.

The PCI size... there have been some concerted effort to make the game accessible to less "hardcore" gamers and I think it's been largely very successful.

What's unfortunate IMO, though, is that it seems as if the difficulty for ALL levels have been shifted down systematically, meaning that HoF/Legend difficulty has also been brought down in difficulty in some way or another, and PCI size I think is one of them. I think Legend difficulty should be kept difficult enough that only few truly crazy good players can enjoy games realistically on that level.
