I'd look for young affordable talent.

Tough due to how low the Rays sold on him. He is an ace and a dominant lefty, i'd go two A's and a low B if we're going the prospect route...if he wasn't in a contract year. Since he is in a contract year maybe a mid A and a mid B.

The Royals would deal him if they can't agree on a contract. I think he should be worth at least a low A. Maybe 2 High Bs.

Has anyone tried the Shows 15 recommend trade feature? I am just asking overall, what you think of it?

Not that bad honestly. Of course, far from perfect but it looks more realistic. It seems the era of quantity for quality is behind us… which is a good think in my opinion.

Mmm...if he doesn't want to work out a new contract he isn't going to be worth as much as a rental. Shot yourself in the foot there. He isn't worth an A as a rental. Most i'd go is a high B and a low B.

He may be more willing to work out a deal with a different team though. I'll admit, you got me there

I wanted to trade him to the Yankees for Aaron Judge and Miguel Andujar. He's going to walk for the first $210 million dollar offer he gets in free agency, so I may try to trade him if we get off to a bad start.

Not a bad trade. Yankees would do it and try and extend him. I'm really high on Judge too. You may be slightly overpaying though, but not by much.

Re: MLB 15 trade discussion thread

Hey guys, made the Braves - Padres trade in my franchise. For the Padres I think this makes Will Venable expendable. (Real pumped to pay a fortune to Upton to be a 4th outfielder by the way) I'm about halfway through May and ideally would like to pick up an MLB ready serviceable shortstop, 3b (solarte isn't panning out) or backend/bullpen guy. Venable hasn't gotten many ABs but is hitting .306/.342/.778 triple slash with 4 dingers and 8 rbis in 36 at-bats. Open to shipping him out with somebody else as long as it isn't a recently acquired guy i.e. the starting outfielders etc. Would not miss Tyson Ross although hes struggling (0-5 5.85 ERA 40IP). Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I would want young power. I would also look to deal Volquez.

I'm going to throw around a couple of Names for the Yankees. I'm looking for Starting pitching primarily. Verlander is one guy I'm interested in, Jered Weaver is another. I'm willing to take on big salary and deal away pretty much anybody.

The Tigers aren't going to sell low on Verlander. Weaver can be had though.

Assuming I want Weaver and I take on Hamilton, what would the package have to look like?

Refsnyder, Nova + Bird? Toss in Beltran?

If you take on Hamilton the Angels would love you forever. Probably Refsnyder straight up could do it.

Wait, are you using real contracts?
