    Rebuilding a team.

I using the phillies and I get good players but they never translate to wins. What do you guys do to rebuild a bad team? What kinda of players are better? What attr do you guys look for?

Upside, which is potential, obviously. I start with pitching, and the rotation, as personal preference.
Then middle infield. Back to pitching and the bullpen.
Sprinkle in some free agents, but I won;t be backed into a corner & give ridiculous long term deals to 33 year old has-beens.
A good catcher with an arm is a must for me. There is so much involved in rebuilding a team, I'm leary of "quick fixes".
    T-BONE.

    Talking about things nobody cares.

Been rebuilding in last 5 MLB The Shows with Cubs. Almost a pro at it. What I look for is SP with 70+ H/9 and 50+ BB/9. For hitting the most important thing I look for is disc. and vision. I notice that guys have bad vision and disc. no matter how good Contact is they just don't hit. Player search becomes your friend big time. Can find guys in AAA that are perfect matches for those ratings.

I doing sim today with Live Rosters and perfect example on why disc. so important happening to me. Soler is A potential but cause Disc only 34 over 2 years he already been bumped down twice and now a B. Where I now have a 21 y/o rookie who has 78 disc in RF and my CF got hurt so I put the kid in CF and he hitting over .300 and now CF back so I had to bench Soler. I take a guy with 50 cont and 70+ disc over a 90 contact and 50 or worse disc. Disc means so much when simming. Now game play I don't notice difference.
