Sometimes I really wonder..?

Sometimes this game really really gets to me. It drives me crazy... Sometimes it plays so realistic.... And then..... I see the dumbest, most ridiculous, things happen.. Stupid plays, dumb area's for no practical reason. the stupidest base running. My pitcher will strike out 12 batters and then completely fall apart at crucial moments. I can get bases loaded with no outs and not score. I get meaningless hits with two outs but can't hit when it matters. I can be winning every game until the 8th or 9th inning. then in comes the bull pen, And then my team will do every stupid thing possible to lose the game. Then I think this game is a waste of time, Why bother, That's not real baseball. It's scripted. No real team in the Major league baseball would ever play like that.............. And then............... I turn on the TV and watch my beloved Cleveland Indians play a real game..... And in amazement... After I watch the Indians... I think OMG.. The developers of this game are incredible... They nailed it...

You just described the way the Reds typically play This is what I love about this game, and as frustrating as it is at times, they really nail the gameplay as realistic as IRL. No other sports game replicates there sport to a T like the devs of MLBTS do every year.


I know I have see a few say the game is scripted over the years and I just SMH at those who say it, it seems if they struggle to win 80% of their games then the game is scripted. If they actually watched baseball they would see that things that happen in MLBTS actually happen IRL all the time.


IMO its what makes baseball such a great sport, where guys can be great 1 yr then or for a few then drop way off, while some end up regaining there game, some don't ever get back to the top. Only game where you can fail 70% of the time and be a HOF'er.

Man, I am going to perfectly honest with you. I feel slighted at times, but at the same time you see these types of things happen all the time. The real life games of baseball are not perfect, why should the game be. If Crazy, unreal things didn't happen in Major League Baseball like an Outfielder dropping a fly ball to end the game, we wouldn't watch. There are things you can do to help reduce or enhance whatever is happening in game that you do or don't like. All the things you described, each one of them has happened in the last week of real baseball. Take it with a grain of salt and just keep trying to get better, and you'll be out of that losing streak in no time.

a lot of things in the game are not "just baseball" but they got it for the most part

I agree. this game makes you wonder til you watch a team make the same error in real life.

As for the scripting that people claim. Errors do tend to happen at the most inopportune times which could lead to feeling scripted. heck there was a 7 game stretch where my team made on error on the first play every game. it was to the point i would just laugh. but i guess that's the annoying part with the game... There was nothing i could do to prevent it. There were 20 errors made yesterday(the 26th) in real life. 14 the day before. So for those who claim scripting with this game... errors happen in the league as a whole more than we think. however errors happen way too much for the team i am using for my liking i feel like i am guaranteed 1 error a game i avg 2 a game.
