I could be wrong here, but I have a sneaking suspicion you read approximately zero posts in this thread before asking that question?

I'll help you out a little bit. It runs through your HDMI chain. You'll want it at the end of the chain if you want it to maybe affect as many sources as you can. For instance, if I have my PS4, PS3, and DirecTV set-top-box to all get Darbee'd, they run HDMI to my receiver, then out of my receiver goes an HDMI cable, to the Darblet, to my HDTV.

"Is it worth it?" is the only question of the day that would really prevent anyone from buying one. The first question of "Does is improve your picture?" is a resounding yes to everybody who owns it. Some people honestly don't like the effect, probably because they're used to the softer image they already have (and that's not a knock, that's like motion blur in LCD versus plasma's subfield refresh rate that might cause judder), but it does improve picture.

Now, there are Amazon reviews for people who bought this thing when it was $349, $299, or like me $269, and then of course its current price of $199. Some Oppo BD players now have it embedded in their drives, and I believe there might now me some HDTV's that also have it in there as well (I can't guarantee that information). However, the benefit of having the individual device is that, like I said, you can affect multiple sources at once... and also because if you're like me you can experiment with two Darblets at once for different kinds of effect. There is one guy on AVS Forums who might have cracked the code for how to use four Darblets at once while watching 3D movies for absolute awesome pop and detail, and I'm not kidding you when I'm thinking in my head that my next $400 investment could very well be geared towards looking into that myself.

I can't go much further into detail than that than I already have though regarding whether it's worth it, because the rest depends on the kind of TV you have, the size of it, your current settings (is it calibrated?), your taste in image (do you care if sharpness is cranked up on your set already, or do you lower it?), what material you'll use with it, etc. If you saw the video and some of the images, were you fancied by it? It's really a matter of taste. And again, I'm assuming you can return it for a full refund. Or better yet, if you don't like it then send it my way and I'll PayPal you the cost. I'm always on the lookout for extra Darblets.

I usually purchase hdmi cables from a wholesaler (cheaper) but wanted to know your opinion on the one Darbeevision sells on their website.

        thanks

No I did read it it just I didn't understand how to hook it up because I have a sound bar and I didn't know if it would interfere plus this cost 200$ I need to make sure before investing I understand fully how to work it

How cheap are you getting them, by the way? I always get them at Monoprice. I must have like ten extra HDMI cables that I'm not using at all.

However, send it something 1080p or less, and it will show a picture, even if your TV is doing some upscaling (because that is after the Darblet).

Will upscaled content look good with the Darblet's algorithm? No idea. But the 4K TV will be just fine, as it technically has nothing to do with the TV being 4K more so than it has to do with whatever signal is going through the Darblet at the time.

So maybe it's something you look into for gaming, cable, and Blu-rays?
Excellent. I read through some stuff, but I'm not well-versed in everything so I was a little confused. This clears it up for me a lot and looks like something I'll invest in soon.

Same here with Monoprice....also Solidsignal on occasion.

Considering it's already cheaper than the $199 price (plus free shipping), I don't see a problem with it. I just don't know about return policy there, and it also appears to be out of stock right now.

Is your television already calibrated? Just so you know, calibrate it without the Darblet first (it can be in the chain, but put it at 0%), then start using the Darblet to your liking. It will not affect your calibration, but you don't want to soften your picture more than you think you should with it being used while calibrating.

I'm wondering though if, when I got it at $269, I was able to negotiate that value. I don't think so, though. I might be confusing that with a subwoofer I got several years back.

I'm a sucker for anything technology wise and I gotta say I just may be purchasing one of these in the future. Had no idea something like this even existed, so much obliged for the suggestion, mang. Looking forward to seeing what this can do in person.

Curious if anybody picked this up and had any impressions to leave regarding it. I'm hoping for the chance of a Black Friday sale.

Case in point, if they went on sale at $150 or less, I would consider buying two more of them to operate in a daisy chain for one screen.

I actually had to send my adaptor for mine to Darbee Vision. It stopped working. They just sent me a new one.

All good, though? Free of charge?

I can't remember how long you've had yours for. Heck, I can't remember how long I've had all of mine for haha. I think I got both of mine back in 2012.

EDIT: Just checked my shipping details. First one I got was on 9/1/12 and second one on 9/27/12. Both still going strong and operate on the daily.

In fact, last month mine in my bedroom just reset for the first time in over a year. No biggie, just changed the settings back. It's a cheap piece of hardware, but that software inside it is glorious!

Pretty sure I got mine in 2012 or 2013. I haven't tried the new adaptor yet. Came in the mail the other day and I left for vacation yesterday.

Obligatory bump for the new crowd. Yes, I want to promote this product as long as people are uninformed about it, or at least unaware of its existence.

I have yet to pick up The Show 16, but when I do (and I get my SSD for this laptop) I'll be sure to make a new instructional video.

Does anybody have any requests for what they might want to see? Take a look at my older video, and tell me if there's something I might be missing from there that I can include here. Or, better yet, if there's a certain stadium you want to see, etc.
