On Deck message blocks pitching meter (VIDEO)

Just wanted to post this to see if others share the same sentiment.

When the count reaches 3 balls the game will alert you with a message telling who is On Deck. If you start your delivery while this message is being displayed the pitch meter will be hidden!

This usually leads to mistakes as in the gif below. I gave up a Home Run most likely because I messed up on my delivery. In my windup I was aiming for red/yellow but it actually ended up landing in the green. I believe the pitch was a change up but I wanted it low in the zone - not over the plate! I know can't make excuses for giving up home runs but I'm sure this defect has contributed to many of my location mistakes/walks in the past.

    Suggested Workarounds:
I know I can wait till the message disappears but sometimes in the heat of the moment one will forget to pause that long. You can also cancel out these messages with a "quick pause" but I'm sure this drives opponents crazy and I want to play considerate.

Agree that it is annoying. But I also want to point out just in case you didn't know. You can move the meter to anywhere on the screen. Shrink it, blow it up, move it around. That what I've done. I have it right next to my pitcher that way I'm focused on the plate as well.

      How do you do that??

If it involves custom cameras I don't think those can be used in online head to head game play.

It does involve custom cameras. I have no idea about online, I have never played this online. Sorry.

You go to the edit camera screen. There look for the edit pitch meter. Then select the meter you would like to edit. Using L1 and R1 I believe, it may be 2, you can enlarge or shrink it. Use the left or right stick to place it anywhere on the screen you would like it to be.

I'll see if we can change the draw order for that for MLB 16.

One other graphical glitch came to mind while reading this. If I press R2 while pitching to ask for the signs again, a catcher's mitt will appear showing the target which then covers up the signs the catcher is giving.

Or perhaps it could just be coded correctly so we don't have to do that?

It's coded correctly very few people pitch in the zoom views and by few I mean less than 1%.

I don't think I'm using a zoom view and the meter is constantly blocked with notifications in the score bug. But I'll check to see what camera I'm using. Fact remains that if there's an option to use a particular camera, the meter shouldn't be blocked using that camera, hence it was overlooked.

I pitch from broadcast view behind pitcher.
                        No zoom.
                        Balks on.
Meter is blocked with notifications constantly.

In some instances score bug notifications will shut down when you begin your windup but the notifications after ball 3 counts still stay up.

I'd also love to see balks turned back on.

Good catch. I am actually using Catcher Zoom 3. The meter is still blocked no matter what camera I'm using, though.

I pitch from the broadcast too P.A.D. and the same thing happens to me.

Just wait a couple of seconds and it will go away, no big deal. Maybe they can relocate it next to the pitcher next year and the problem will be fixed.
