CPU Subs Before First Pitch

I just got this game and decided to play as my hometown Syracuse Chiefs. Whenever I play on the road, the CPU always makes a defensive substitution before the first pitch. Any idea why that happens or how to fix it?

A lot of times this will happen because a player is playing out of position. For Example a C in the OF when OF isn't a secondary position. The player is usually the highest rated player on the bench so the CPU wants them to play but once the game starts the AI realizes he shouldn't be there.

For some reason it will let guys play out of position later in games but to start off it will pull them right away.

The CPU once put Victor Martinez in CF against me because he PH for the CF, and it left him in there. It was...an experience.

Ive actually played games where, on the schedule, it said one starter was scheduled to pitch but when the game loaded up the CPU decided to go with their spot starter/long reliever.

Might've had a "have concern for (player), not looking good" moment - CPU gets those too.
