Remember the days of MVP 2005 when we could change the grass patters? That was so awesome.

Didn't The Show have it as well?
or was it a GM option, but it didn't change on field.....there was something with grass patterns....'08 or '09 maybe?

I remember being able to do it in The Show in the PS2 days.

It was at least in MLB 2005. You could play, like, $50,000 to change the grass pattern.

EDIT: It was also in MLB 07, it was $250,000 to change the pattern.

On an MLB 07 note, does anybody know why RFK Stadium wasn't in the PS2 version of the game?

I'm almost certain it was in The Show. I don't remember ever trying it. So I don't know if it showed up on field or not.

It definitely changed in the PS2 versions, you could select from 4 or 5 different patterns at the Stadium Select screen in Exhibition mode.

Great work! I've always thought that the distance between home plate and the backstop at US Cellular field is much shorter in real life then it is in the Show.

It definitely seems like the distance in The Show is a mile long

us cellular doesnt get a lot of love in this game. took years to correct the ribbon board on the center field batters eye. i have a feeling the new video boards wont make it in this year.

Stadiums that need to be updated or corrected behind home plate

I've brought this one up previously on the ShowNation forums, but I might as well throw my hat in this ring here as well.

                      Kauffman Stadium:

From the broadcast camera view, there should only be an opening between seats directly behind the catcher, and there should also be a built up wall with branding instead of the railing behind the first four rows

just looking at the real life pictures vs the shows comparisons, it looks like the show needs a little adjusting of their camera angles and depth to match that of the real broadcast.

Can somebody do this for Rogers Centre as well?

Judging from TS 15 I'd say the Rogers Center backstop is pretty spot on with the green in the action seats.

There's a football field between home plate and the backstop in US Cell. It looks off from pitcher POV.

I agree. I've always felt there is too much foul ground behind home plate in US Cellular.
