I am not using 30 Team Control, and this is the start of the regular season, 1 game in.

It was happening before the 1st game and hoped it would resolve itself after playing through a game, but it did not.

Did you import your franchise from last year's game?

And it's happening with new Franchises, as well as saved ones now.

Are you using a roster other than SCEA's? Like OSFM?

If so, try the official one and see if that at least fixes it. Not that that's a fix if you don't want to use the official one, but at least it would tell you where the problem lies (and would keep you from having to reinstall).

Already tested. The problem persists with both official and vault rosters.

Yes. Hughes is my Ace, and Sano is batting 3rd.

My Twins Franchise didn't have this issue last I left it. I just loaded it up to see if it had been affected by this problem, and sure enough it had.

Yes. Hughes is my Ace, and Sano is batting 3rd.

My Twins Franchise didn't have this issue last I left it. I just loaded it up to see if it had been affected by this problem, and sure enough it had.

Hate to say it but I'm seeing this too now. All of the starters (hitters and pitchers) with high role expectations are unhappy/angry because they're listed as bench/bullpen. Additionally I don't see anyone higher than "satisfied" - even bench/bullpen guys with more green faces than red aren't above their normal OVR.

And this doesn't seem to resolve with a season flip, like the other problem similar to this did.

I'm guessing a recent patch did this and nobody noticed until now. I don't think a server update (there have been 2 in the last week or so) can wreak this much havoc on offline franchises.

This is a serious problem. The only thing that makes it still playable is that it affects the entire league - but it lessens the gap between superstars and everyday players.

Maybe there's something to that server update theory after all....I tried disconnecting through the network menu, started up The Show, started a new season mode game (problem existed there too), and expectations (and morale in general) are back to normal. Loaded my franchise on April 8th...also back to normal.

I also have players that are back to being above their normal OVR when morale is high.

Try it and post results.

I have been messing around with old franchise saves and new ones and haven't seen this today.

I never play any of the online modes. I'm wondering if playing diamond dynasty or any other online mode is causing it.

Think the disconnecting was just a coincidence, though you are still correct that it's some online connectivity issue. I just loaded up all my Franchises and they are back to normal now, And I am still connected, and never dc'd.

Either their servers went down, which fixed it, or their is some weird connectivity issue, where the server is pushing out this issue at certain times or in certain situations.

Who the hell knows!

BTW, I've since re-connected to the internet and have not had this happen again. So, if that really did fix it it might just be a one-time fix.

Still baffles me as to why that could have caused it...the only thing I can possibly think of is that I had the game running (overnight) while the update was added, so maybe that messed something up. But, who knows.

Can someone explain to me exactly how directional hitting works?

If I hold up and to the left is that a flyball to left outfield? Same for right and up, and is this the best for homeruns.

If I hold down will it be a weak groundball or a ground ball to the outfield?

What do left and right directions do? I assume left down is ground ball to the left left up is flyball is left just a line drive?

Also does having a pull hitter bat opposite of his tendencies affect his power/contract?
