    Pujols attributes

    I'm a Cardinals fan and I always trade for Pujols at the beginning of my franchise. My question is why is he rated lower as far as power than Mark Teixeira and A-Rod? I'm not sure of how attributes are based but I assume it's the past few years and age. Outside of Teixeira's slugging percentage last year, Pujols has better power numbers recently than both players. (I haven't figured in this year.
    I realize that Albert is not the player he was a few years back but from looking at his attributes compared to others it seems inconsistent. Pujols overall potential is 91 I think, which is fair, while other aging superstars remain at 99. (A-Rod, Ichiro and Ortiz) I know Ortiz is more productive at this point in their careers. Just looks like his attributes regress more than other aging superstars.

      Yes sir, I understand that. That is why I brought it up. I am thinking about doing just that but I don't want to seem like I'm cheating by bumping up his power so I was looking for thoughts. I already cheated enough by taking him for nothing. I was stating that it seemed inconsistent. Also this wasn't a shot at anyone's rosters. I always use OSFM, his ratings were in the SCEA original rosters. Thanks

        It's always been like that, but I agree some of the ratings are off IMO. EX: Kris Bryant's power too low, Rizzo a little too high, Harper's power/contact should be better, etc. Nothing player edit can't fix.

          2013-2015 AB/HR
          A-Rod = 17 ab/hr
          Teixeira = 15.8 ab/hr
          Pujols = 19.1 ab/hr

          Now I don't know the exact formula SDS uses to calculate Power,
          but I personally have no issue with Alex & Mark being rated higher than Albert.

          The Potential attribute rating is an entirely different story as I have no idea how SDS arrived where they did.
          Seems completely arbitrary but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, esp. since they have given us the ability to edit potential.
          T-BONE.

            Yep, I should've looked at ab/hr a little closer. Thanks for your reply.
