Nice prospect! That's the highest starting overall I've seen so far this year. Durability is already high so if he improves against lefties, become more discipline and improve a little at fielding this guy will be an MVP. I tend to leave my prospects in the minors a little bit longer than I should, but two years max in the minors IMO for Looney.

Looney's going to be on the field at least 2 years earlier.Last edited by bkrich83; 05-14-2017, 01:03 PM.Comment

Re: Pimp Your Prospects (MLB 17 Edition)
First up, Edward Windsor. Snagged him in the first round of my Yankees 2017 draft with the 15th pick, I believe -- something like that. Has a ton of upside. While his glove work needs some seasoning, his bat is just about MLB ready and he has decent wheels.
Next, 3rd round pick up Billy Ramos. He may not have a lot of upside, but he has an MLB ready bat and will be serious trouble for lefties.

Pimp Your Prospects (MLB 17 Edition)
Overall this was 2018 my draft. The first pick (8th overall) is also shown. He is automatically my highest potential player in my system. However, that stamina is worrisome and may cause him to change to an elite RP/CP.
The CF (also shown) has some promise with that high potential but starts at 53 overall so he has a ways to go.

Re: Pimp Your Prospects (MLB 17 Edition)
Are you, or anyone else, considering altering durability ratings because of how goofy they are? By that I mean the rating encompasses both injury potential and energy, so it's an absolute garbage attribute. I would be ok drafting a guy who was "high injury risk" (via scouting report) if I knew he also wouldn't need to rest every 4th game.Comment

Re: Pimp Your Prospects (MLB 17 Edition)
Yeah I do this, and don't feel guilty about it. I've drafted players before with durability ratings in the 10-20 range. I set my floor to 60. Feel like it's even since I go through and do the same thing to CPU-drafted players on the other 31 teams also.Comment

Re: Pimp Your Prospects (MLB 17 Edition)
How old is he? If he's 18-20, keep in the minors and let him grow. Keep him the 40 man if possible...Comment

Re: Pimp Your Prospects (MLB 17 Edition)
I'm not at home at the moment but I will take a look when I get home. I do know that he has elite speed and above average hitter contact but is lacking in power and fielding. Gonna leave him in the minors and train him up. How do you guys post screen shots?

Re: Pimp Your Prospects (MLB 17 Edition)
A lot of guys play SS when they are drafted but a lot aren't able to stick there and get moved. A good example, Justin Upton was drafted as a SS, look how that turned out.
If his speed is good but fielding not as much I'd look to put him in the OF.Comment
