Way too many dribbles in front of home plate!

MLB The Show 17 and all versions before it have way to many hits that I like to call swinging bunts!

There are to many hits that dribble in front of home plate or right back to the pitcher in MLB The Show 17 and earlier. I hope the developers can find a way to fix this issue that has been a problem with just about all versions of MLB The Show. I guess there is an issue with the ball physics that needs to be changed?

This is the number one issue I have with batting in this game.

How often are you seeing it happen?

I haven't played enough of '17 to form an opinion but as far as '16 goes I wouldn't say this is happening excessively.

I may see one or two in a single game and then go a few games before seeing it again

There has always been way too much contact imo in this game. The pci won't be near the ball and yet decent timing will allow you to foul it off. Playing a hum v hum game, if the batters don't chase much, there are going to be a ton of balls in play.

I've been hoping they would either change how pci works or make them much smaller.

agreed. I've played maybe 100 games against CPU, and there are at least 3 in every game.

Does changing skill level or slider adjustments change anything?

It does but it also will create some undesirable effects like less solid contact and whatnot. I understand why they make making contact somewhat easy to make the game enjoyable, I just wish it was harder in that aspect.

Is it happening more in '17 than year's past?

I ask because one of the "issues" I have/had with 17 is that I feel its too easy to make contact

Way too many dribbles in front of home plate!

I haven't played in awhile so I decided to play over weekend and turned it off due to the dribbles in front of plate. Several in first few innings by me and CPU. It has been an issue this entire year for game. Some games/days are worse than others. It's like they should be foul tips or something but they go fair. If you try and slider compensate to keep it from happening it throws other stuff out of whack. Sliders? Rosters? Programming? Who knows but takes the fun right out it.

I've had issues with it previous years. It started around 12. I don't think 12 changed gameplay wise, I just reached a certain skill level where I started almost always putting the pci on the ball. Sliders help but only so much.

I see it in '16, but nothing that I would consider a problem/issue. The last game I played, I didn't see a weak dribbler in front of the plate.

I was curious if you thought it was happening more in '17 than previous years because as I've said, one of the "issues" that I had with '17 was that I felt it was too easy to make contact. Granted I haven't played much of '17 after putting it down in the Spring, but even the few times I've attempted to get back into it, I have the same feeling.

I was wondering if the new ball physics were causing it to happen more often???
