1. Suicide squeezes - the sheer volume that which the cpu uses the suicide squeeze to score runs is downright abhorrent. It needs to be toned down drastically.
2. Oles - grounders to the side of a fielder that almost any decent fielder would make that get past the fielder for hits. Happens entirely too often. These are major league fielders. Please treat them as such.
3. Animation of fielders momentum causing them to get stuck by walls - this was much worse in show 16, but it still needs sufficient work. It's simply not a realistic representation of momentum.
4. Passed Balls on Strikes - it is rare that a pitch right down the middle is a passed ball, yet I see it on a regular basis in show 17. It needs to be toned down if not entirely eradicated.
5. Stealing bases - way too difficult for the user to get a good jump, especially with decent base runners. This is not referencing good base runners, it's more for decent base runners (think Jacoby Ellsbury). I find it near impossible to successfully steal 50% of my attempts with decent base runners.
6. Ground balls that beat the shift and roll to the wall - it is absurdly rare for a ground ball not down the line to roll all the way to the wall, however I see it regularly in the show 17. My shortstop will be playing in a shift and a batter will hit a grounder up the middle that will literally roll to the wall because the outfielders are so out of position and the ball rolls too fast.
7. Grounders down the line are almost always singles - yes, I've seen them go for doubles in the show 17. The issue is that grounders down the line in real life are almost ALWAYS doubles or even triples. They're almost never singles in real life.
8. Line drives in which fielders don't react at all - all too often I'll see a line drive that is easily fieldable by an infielder go over their head because the infielder simply doesn't react at all. The game simply needs to be better at giving us the correct fielder to make the play.
9. Bullpen Mismanagement - self explanatory. We all know what the cpu does.
There are a few others things such as catcher slowness and hitting inconsistencies, but we know these are things they focused on and I wanted this topic to focus on the things that weren't mentioned in the streams. Feedback is welcome.
