    Re: Lack of injuries

I've noticed there don't seem to be any injuries in DD either. I'm pretty sure they were there last year, especially on balls hitting the pitcher or OF diving and having balls bounce off them, neither seem to be causing any injuries so far for me.

      Re: Lack of injuries

Started a second franchise to go with my Marlins franchise that hasn't had any in game injuries through 21 games. The second one is with the Tigers and I have had 2 in game injuries. The only thing I did different is I started at the beginning of the regular season instead of spring training. My Marlins franchise I simmed spring training with injuries turned off, then turned them on once I set my 25 man roster based on spring training stats. It might be nothing but thought I would throw that out there.

        Re: Lack of injuries

After playing all of the spring training games injury free, on my fifth game of the regular season Tommy Pham went down with a hamstring injury. I guess I had just been lucky......it’s baseball.

Wow.....the Karma code has bit me right in the ***.....game six, I lost Carlos Martinez with inflamed nerve.
Moral to the story....if your not getting any injuries, don’t say nothing. The Karma police are listening.

I'm preparing myself for the onslaught of injuries in my old carryover.

Of course, my 1B got drilled with a liner off his head and suffered no injury at all.

            Oops, I added another strike didn't I?

Or maybe you guys are siphoning off the injuries in some sort of unknown cyber link. Did someone lose their 1B to injury?

Something I do is when I have a player go down for a few days I still put him on the 10 day DL. Playing as the Dodgers I have had Kemp go down in game with a broken forearm, Ryu twice, once as a pregame and Tom Koehler for two months and I’m still in April.

                  Re: Lack of injuries

I just had the 1st injury to my RTTS-created player during the Spring Training of my 3rd season. I use all default sliders, btw.

                  Situation:

I drilled a ball in the gap. Rounded 1B and headed for 2nd. I noticed that it appeared as if my player was running awkwardly. I turned to my brother and laughed, just as I was thrown out and said, "Man. Looks like my guy is hurt."

Before my next AB, they pulled my player due to an injury. A message popped up saying that I would be out 1-6 games, I think. Kinda freaked out till I remembered that it was still only ST and not the regular season.

Thankfully I only missed 1 game or so and I was back.

Oh yea, it was a hand injury, even tho my guy was running gimpily. Lol.

It took 25 regular season games but I finally had a major injury. Starlin Castro out 1-2 months with a broken ankle. Beware of what you wish for.

One silly thing that happened to me in my mast game, giolito got hit by a come backer in the leg and was knocked out of the game (bruise out for a few days) later in the game Moncado hits a line drive that hits their pitcher in the face...nothing 🤪...oh well I still have plenty of injuries in my franchise

No rain delays of any sort. Played 4 or 5 in the rain but no delays. So I don't know what it is. it could be MOM, it could be just luck, either way it is an issue with injuries. I play with injuries on 9 and sim at 6.
I play MoM also and this is very disturbing. I actually upped it to 10 for Spring and simmed through days. Then moved it back to default before I started the regular season. I just started so I am only in to game 2. So I guess I will see what happens. I was going to do the Play 9 sim 6 route, but just feel weird about it. The no rain delays is really depressing.

Yeesh you guys are lucky. I had to turn my injuries down from 6 to 5 because of all the injuries I was seeing, and yes a lot of those were happening in game. I guess I should turn it back up to six and just accept that it was a very unlucky year.

... There was a point where the entire top half of my lineup couldn't play due to injury. 4 of the 5 happened in a non-simmed situation.

From what im gathering from this thread, it seems carry overs are seeing far more injuries than freshly started franchises. Interesting

I'm waiting on the hybrid roster to release before starting my offline franchise, so somebody might be able to help me with this... do injuries seem to become more numerous as the season goes on due to the grind and fatigue? Also, as far as the CPU -controlled teams in MLB the Show 18, do they do a good job of placing previously injured players back in the lineup when they're healthy again? What about if the player subbing for the injured player is doing well? Will the CPU ever stick with them especially when the injured player isn't a star?
