    AI fielding decisions

I'd like to know how the AI determines if the OF is going to dive for a ball or not.

I just had a play (MoM) where men were on 1b & 2b with one out. Batter hits a real shallow fly to CF. Runners hold at their base to see if it would be caught. It was pretty obvious the fielder had no chance to catch it on the fly as he got closer. If the fielder had let the ball drop, he could have gotten the runner going to third. But no. He dives, ball goes by him and it turns into a run scoring double.

Yeah it’s so irritating, I wish I could take over control of the fielder mid play to avoid scenarios like that since I can usually see it coming a mile away
