Yeah, the more I've played the more the graphics are maybe the least of the problem. I think the loss of the crack of the bat is one huge reason. WTF were they thinking here? I just hit a 430 foot bomb with Hammerin' Hank and it sounded and felt like I hit it off the end of a whiffle bat. Something is also seriously wonky with some of the batted ball physics - pulling an outside pitch down the line is the worst. This version just seems wrong, rushed and zero fun compared to 20 on PS Plus or PS5.

There's just so much to be disappointed with. Even those years where there were only incremental improvements were fine with me as it was still a blast to play and as realistic as anyone could expect. This year feels unfinished. It's especially infuriating to see the exact same glitches we've had for years back yet again - the DD custom team preview and logo graphical issues, the same stock custom logo templates, the same annoying commentary ("Just missed it Matty...") On the plus side my Jackie Robinson items inexplicably credited to me twice

I am glad there is a stadium creator but otherwise this is a huge letdown in my book.

20 on PS4 looked like one of the best sports games graphically.

I hope 21 on PS4/XBO it at least holds the same quality as 20 did on ps4.

I don't have the game yet, waiting for gamepass, but watching a lot of streams and the game seems to be not much of a different 'experience' than last year. Which can be a good thing.

i wasn't expecting them to make any changes but wish there were one or two more new modes this year.

I'm getting it free on gamepass so can't complain. But the urge I had to get a next gen console for just this game isn't there anymore. I can wait for a ps5/xbx another year.

Way more accurate colors and contrast. Just look at the walls and cleats. Shadows look better too. These are subtle things, and definitely not a graphical leap, but also take into account native 4K and 60fps.

I have no doubt graphics will improve over time.

I am older but looks sort of similar to me. Worth a $75-$80 investment? Up to the individual. Not for me. And not just based on graphics alone.

As a person on Xbox that hasn’t played a sim baseball games since 2k11 I’m pretty excited

I’m not playing 4K and HDR but all stadiums at night area really dark. It feels like half the lights are off in the stadium ( a bit like the Bush stadium like year).

For those playing 4K and HDR are you observing this or something’s wrong on my side ?

I don’t really understand this comparison, we should be looking at 21 on ps4 vs 21 on ps5.

Of course there will be some minor improvements year on year but the debate here is the next gen version looking the same as current gen

I do love the new equipment though. It looks great. Hopefully they can fix some of this stuff through patches.
I called this out during the beta - that the colors don't look as bright and vibrant as 20s. This is last gen I'm talking about. I thought maybe bec it was beta and they put that gamertag filter on it it looked like that.

It’s not a bad looking game, but it’s overly dismissive to say the only people who care don’t have a next generation system

I have a ps5, if they aren’t going to change much due to covid/being a transitional year i understand but the price shouldn’t be 10 dollars more then

ive been watching on twitch and i know you can't judge from there, but some streams the game looks amazing and crisp while others it looks ordinary.

I play 4k HDR on OLED and Texas is almost pitch black during night games. I believe this problem also occured on the first year on the ps4.

I’m no tech expert but that sounds like placebo to me. You can switch TVs and have the “colors look better.” You can move your TV’s calibration sliders and have “colors look better.” That is not a valid observation when discussing any actual technical difference between the games on various platforms.

I don’t actually care about any of this.

color accuracy is an actual technical difference. "i'm no tech expert" could have been the entirety of your post.
