    Favorite hitting views and why?

I’ve been on the Fish Eye default so far and it’s okay, but am still having a tough time as a left handed batter picking up left handed pitching, especially with Grisham and Biggio.

What hitting views do you use? Why do you like it?

    Thanks.

For me it's Retro, with getting older, the eyesight isn't what it was, retro just makes everything look bigger and closer up, just a straight on view, i can see the pitches better, the Show 15 is another that i like for same reason.

lol for me it depends on your age and reaction time. I also am a brand newbie with the game. I am a immersion junkie so I use broadcast or behind pitcher but I have adjusted sliders to help me as I really couldn’t hit jack when I first started playing it. My reaction time and vision is not what it was especially compared to my teenaged son who has it on legend difficulty and outfield view..I love this game and realized hitting should be hard just like real baseball!!

I haven’t tried retro yet I may need to, it sounds similar to catcher high which I have been liking

strike zone 3. It's the only view that doesn't have such an "up/down" offset and you can still see your batter.

I use Show 16 view. I’m just so used to it because I’ve been using it for years.

I'm using Fish Eye 2. Tried a few different cameras but seem to enjoy this the most. Strike Zone 3 would be my second choice but prefer the look and feel of Fish Eye 2 more...

One thing I have struggled with is how to get the camera angle to be like a broadcast. I use Manager mode and have tried all types of different camera angles, but can't get the view to be from the outfield like on TV. I had that view in earlier MLB versions. Does anyone know if that view is available and how to activate it?

I switched to wide after watching some twitch streamers last year. The change from fisheye has been great, I'm getting a lot more perfect perfect and getting 5-9 walks a game on legend.

I do miss the immersion of the fisheye camera angle though.

I like strike zone 3. I pick up the pitches pretty well on it. I also like fish eye.

Same here, tried fish eye but I find the pitcher and field just too far away. The stadiums are so beautifully built in this game that it’s a shame to look at it from such a distance. Show 16 just shows enough of the field but keeps the pitcher and walls in sight like you’re actual at bat in the stadium.

Exactly! I feel too far away from the pitcher on fish eye. On Show 16 it just feels right to me and I can read pitches pretty well.

MLB the show 15 view. After struggling last year to find a good view (even tried custom) I switched and never looked back!

Fisheye 1, 2, or Strike Zone 3. I don't really have huge issues hitting from any behind the plate camera anymore except maybe Offset (though PYS made me a little better at that too). But the reason I prefer any of those three is that along with aesthetic value of being able to see a lot of the stadium, they give me a good view of the ball off the bat, through the no-cut transition to the Dynamic in-play camera. Some of the really zoomed in cameras lose line-of- sight to the ball on fly balls, which can cause a problem on judging whether a ball is going to land safely for a hit or be caught.
