Spring training

Was wondering if you guys play the spring training games in your franchise. Also how many innings should a startingpitcher pitch and your position players play.

My starting pitchers go 3 innings in first start, 4 innings in second, 5 innings in third and so on and so forth.
My position players I try to get them all equal at bats.

I play the games until Im comfortable choosing the 26 that make the final roster. I’ll start with two innings from a starter and increase it by an inning every start, never going past 5. I start pinch hitting for all the starters in the 4th inning until they’re all replaced

I never played much ST before but not that I’ve been building the real stadiums I just might. I have zero interest is using the 2 fictional parks over and over.

That’s what I do, I have about 9 or 10 I have built that I use and then I use the historical parks that come with the game. I still love playing at the old Globe Life and Sportsman’s Park.

This is going to be my first year with a PS5, so I will for sure be playing ST this year since I can create a stadium for ever team. I'll try to get them similar to the real stadiums, but I doubt they'll be exact. I'm not talented enough nor do I have the patience for that. lol

Does Spring Training have any effect on training? I never noticed one way or another but am curious.

I don't believe so. Attributes don't go up or down until later in the season.

If you're new I would not try to do them all yourself. You're looking at ~10 hours for EACH stadium until you get comfortable with the tool.

Use the vault and download them. I've done 8 myself for MLB22, a few others are done too.

Even if the files don't carry over, as long as MLB23 hits Game Pass day 1 again I'll be back making new stadiums for the new game.

Are injuries happening in Spring Training? At default they are noticeably toned down. I’m playing on 21 and after 5 games not a one but at least on sim there are more after raising injury slider to max. I wish they weren’t toned down in Spring Training.
