More good news….those special ASG caps are now selectable for any games.

One more thing but not 100% sure. For Future Stars Game, players having a generic All-star jersey but wearing their own team cap. Not sure if this one was in before patch though.

The great thing about having players wear their actual home/road uniforms for the ASG is that in modes like Franchise—where we play in seasons other than the current one—players will automatically switch between home and road uniforms depending on which ballpark is hosting.

Just a couple things I’ve noticed: some teams that have different home/road batting helmets are, by default, wearing the home ones. So, teams like the Yankees and Twins during the 2025 ASG will be wearing their glossy and white-panel helmets respectively, despite being the road teams. This is likely because the helmet is paired with whatever cap is assigned. Another thing is that player equipment seems to be using the AL or NL TC1/TC2/TC3 colors instead of their team’s actual colors. Obviously, we’ll have to wait and see if SDS made it this way in anticipation of it happening IRL, but in years past, players just wore their usual team-colored equipment—barring a few exceptions

So it’s verified that they do switch home and road uniforms based on ball parks? I hadn’t had a chance to test it out yet.

Yes! This is absolutely awesome and definitely a welcome change. Good riddance to those ugly AL/NL uniforms Nike made them wear

They also included the HR Derby Caps as well for each team, which the players do wear in HR Derby with the Nike ASG HR Derby jerseys. But you can wear them with your regular uniforms if you want in play now/franchise.

After the update, I wanted to see how the uniforms would look in the HRD, and that’s when I noticed the players were wearing their team logo as a sleeve patch, along with their team’s cap. That’s when I got excited and realized they FINALLY added individual team uniforms for the ASG

Something I noticed. The Rockies got an ad patch, but it hasn't made it in the game yet. But they removed the Rockies logo sleeve patch completely, at least on the home whites. To the best of my knowledge the Rockies still have their logo on their sleeves despite the ad patch. Not sure if it was removed in anticipation for the ad patch being put in on a later patch or if it was accidental. I found it odd that it was taken off though.

So unfortunately the all-star uniforms do not alternate based on stadium in franchise. I tested 2 seasons at American League stadiums and AL is always in gray and NL is always in white.

I wonder if it alternates home/away per year though. and not per stadium.

Nope. I simmed to the 2026 season and the stadium still defaulted to Atlanta and it was still NL home and AL away. I picked an AL stadium and the uniforms were the same. Luckily the all-star game looks like it's going to be at NL stadiums for the next few years though. 2026 is in Philadelphia, and I read that the front runner for 2027 is San Francisco. So it'll be several years before it becomes inaccurate.

Maybe they'll add something in an update that lets us choose home and away, or choose uniforms. Even if they don't this is only a minor annoyance. It's still miles better than what we had before.

Okay, so I was wrong in saying the uniforms change depending on the stadium you pick—but it does randomly switch who hosts the ASG in certain years, at least in Franchise mode. For example, I believe the AL hosts in both 2027 and 2030. It also changes in Exhibition Classic if you set the AL as the home team. So, I guess you'll have to keep track of which league is hosting that year and choose a stadium from that league accordingly to make things look right. That said, the game will always default to Atlanta as the host, so you’ll need to manually change it after the 2025 season

When I simmed to 2030, the game set the AL to the home team in 2028 and 2030 and the AL was wearing their home jerseys. So it’s not based on stadium, but based on who is the home team. Only thing you have to do is change the stadium every year to align with the home team, just like you said.

Just dropping this here in case someone from SDS checks in - the Cubs are wearing a small sleeve memorial patch for Ryne Sandberg. Not sure these kinds of limited-time use (as far as I know it's just for the remainder of the 2025 season) patches make the game, but it'd be cool if they could add it.

It's placed above the Cubs logo patch on the home, road, and light blue alternates, and just centered in the logo slot on the darker blue alternates (there's no Cubs sleeve logo on those).
