It does matter. Why you say? I will tell you if he hits lifetime average of 220. I say he needs to strike out more. Why? Because he is just trying to make contact and not really caring about making good contact. There is a different. It is all about making good contact. Strikeouts don't mean nothing to me. If a guy hit 290 and 50 HR and strikes out 200 times I will take that. It just means when he does make outs they are from strikeouts. I can live with that. But in this guy's case it is different that is pretty amazing.
