As ar as impressions go if you havent gotten the general impression of the game 54 pages ago plus the community report then the framerate is the least of your worries. Mabe some reading rainbow? I think the general verdict is out with the show 09. Its awesome, cant wait for the final build, so on and so. We are just discussing things we see in the demo. From here on out it is more likely the "look what I did in mlb demo" thread.

Personally I think all frame rate issues should be directed to the thread devoted to it as its cluttering up this thread. But if everyone respected the fact that this is an issue for a sizeable minority of us then it would probably settle down. I'm glad you don't see it in the demo or when you were in San Diego Jim. It probably means you won't see it at all in March. But there is a good chance I will see it imo. It's not the end of the world but I'm tired of hearing people basically telling me to be quiet or don't worry about it. It IS a concern for some of us.

Rudy...I understand what you are saying...but think of this.
First....most guys are not seeing it(a slight majority maybe

)....
but add to that the fact that a few guys who said they DID see the problem....changed something and it resolved it.
That's telling me that it's more likely a tech problem(setup) and not something related directly to the demo.
At least I hope so.....but it seems likely that it's fixable.

Sony I take back what I said about the check swing system being bad!

After more time with the game I am getting used to it a lot more

And I think I understand how it works now.

Its seems to me like others have said the check swings are based on player skill. But I also think it depends on what kind of pitch you get.

So some players are better then others at check swinging at an inside pitch. And others maybe be better at check swinging at outside pitch. At least thats the way it seems to me

Its strange but the first 4 or 5 games i could not seem to check swing for the life of me. But Now all of a sudden I seem to be able to check swing a lot.

So all is good again!

And now that I am used to it you guys are correct and it is better then 08. Seems less random and more accurate calls now by the umps.

Which is great to hear ... but in retrospect, do you know of an issue in the demo at all? That is what I think most are concerned about. The fact that if the devs don't see it in the demo either, then what they see right now, can translate over to the final build.

Absolutely. Just had to answer your thoughts in this thread ... lol!

The game just owns anyhow. I can not play '08 again after playing this demo (even though I have to in the league).

This is pure baseball gaming bliss, and just may turn out to be the best baseball game ever made.

Whether they see it in the demo or not doesn't necessarily mean that if they don't see it then they may not see it in the final build. Not everyone is seeing the framerate issue. I myself have not seen it. I'll check with a magnifying glass today when I get home, but for me, '09 played no different than '08 in terms of framerate.
