Yep, his slider is tough. The fact that the Phils 3, 4 and 5 hitters are lefty doesn't help

Ever since moving pitch speed slider to 10 I've been hitting tons better, go figure.

lol...Hamels just plunked 3 guys in a row and he's controlled by the cpu.

I LOVE the variability in the game..it really seems like anything can happen. I've seen Hamels/Kazmir pitch me completely different depending on what's working that game. In games before I have sometimes felt like the pitcher was a machine following an algorithm, but they truly feel like facing a human.

On another note, I really enjoy Legend (didn't think I would), but I just can't hit on that level yet.

You better go high and inside on the first pitch next inning or your teammates may think you don't have their backs. I'm just saying.

I plunked Victorino in the backside. Then had Ruiz pop out and then I just drilled Hamels in the head..lol

Devs, 1st off my impression of the demo is superb work! I let the cpu play itself over 100 games just to see how the AI was etc..and other than a couple of minor things that I've found in various other threads that have been confirmed to be fixed in the later versions..it's quite simply amazing and my hat off to all of you and I can't wait to try all the new features.

*Simple request if you could..post a screenshot of the cloudy or overcast conditions and please tell me/us what the final result is when it comes to shadow transitions during a full day game.*

Thanks so much for all your replies in the forum and keep up the great work and hope it's very successful for you, it's well deserved.

Well, I'm getting better. I moved up from Veteran to All-Star and finally won my first game at that level, woo

The game definitely seems harder this year, as I've really had to focus when hitting and pitching. And wouldn't you know it, but the game I finally win, I win 1-0 with only one hit, and it was a homerun. Haha.

I've played this demo more than I've played any game all year.

                    This game rocks

ok, I think I just found the answer on lighting in the other thread, kind of confused but...slightly better understanding now..thanks Nem.

now just a cloudy/overcast day shot would be great, I've honestly hunted around but can't find one yet.

Overcast games look great, you get a sense of threatening skies!

I gotta say check swings have never been a problem in this series for me. It's not as perfect as 2K4, but I certainly can't complain about it.

My girlfriend gave me a PS3 for V-Day so I first thing I did was download The Show 09 demo.

So far im impressed with what i've played. I'm only 3 games deep and the one thing that jumps out at me is how detailed and polished this game is. Every couple minutes I see something new and just say wow thats a nice touch.

Gameplay wise I still have a lot of learning to do. I'm coming over from the 2k series so the button pitching and hitting will take some time to get down. The only thing I do not like is the fielding. I think they need to add a throwing meter next year to give the fielding some depth.

                                Welcome to the Show Aerobee.

And there is a throwing meter for the fielders. Its the ring that develops underneath the player as he's fielding the ball. It will go from green, to yellow, to orange, then to red depending on how long you hold the button, to depict the strength of your throw.
