For me, I just don't like seeing a bunch of stuff cluttering up the screen. I might give it a go though to see how it feels as I've never really used it before.

i use classic because like Jim said i hate the clutter plus i like watching my pitcher throw the ball and not some meter.

I use Classic and I know with 100% confidence that if I started using the meter, user issued walks would sky-rocket ...my reflexes aren't what they used to be. FWIW I have tried the meter (in 08 and in the 09 demo) and it felt like it was going to be harder to master in 09.

I find that if I turn off all the aides that I will get walks because I can't see the zone and I'm pitching by 'feel'. I tend to error on the side of being too far out, rather than leaving meat-balls over the plate. On that topic, it would be nice to be able to pick and choose the vibration functions that you want. For example, turn off the vibration for the edge of the strkie zone, while leaving on the other vibrations ('heart beat' in pressure situations etc.) I'm a little undecided on the issue of the ball marker. Sometimes I think I like to have it off because then I'm really pitching by feel and just aiming the stick to where I 'think' the edge of the zone is...other times I think I might be leaving too many meat balls because I don't move the stick enough, which would be remedied by having the cursor on, so I can see that I'm really aiming at the edge of the zone...

I did try pitching with Kazmir last night and issued 3 walks in the 4 innings. I had been pitching almost exclusively with Hamels, since that's who it defaults to when you start a new game in the demo. Stats show that IRL Hamels issues about 1/2 the walks / 9IP that Kazmir does.

Oh....they did....

It's quite a sequence.... Hope in the first inning.....a little sour in the 2nd.....anger by the third.....all the way down hill until I was in tears.......

Meter all the way for me, That's what I like. That is also the first thing I noticed when I play the demo, the meter pitching is a bit harder then years past whcich is great, I like classic, but Meter is for me.

i play on HOF and allstar. to start I gave up more walks cuz the meter was harder...but now I am not giving up as many cuz i am use to the meter. I am still walking more guys than last year...but its hard to really tell because I am not pitching with a variety of pitchers.
