I am a reliever with the marlins and we were facing the mets in spring training. I come in the top of the 14th and the game didnt end til the 21st. My energy bar was at 0 in like the 17th inning. pretty crazy duel i had going on with k-rod for 7 innings. i ended up giving up a run to delgado. oh well. cant win em all i guess.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
what do you do when it seems like every time you get solid contact on the ball it seems like the ball wants to go straight to an infielder. this is absurd im in aaa and my contact is at 64 and power at 43.
Is this one of those keep tryin things or is this game just simply unforgivingLive, Love, Learn

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Welp, after raking in the first 3 weeks of my second year in AA, I was called up to AAA. I didn't hit too bad, but I failed many a goal and have been sent back to Altoona for refinements. I will be getting back at it in a few minutes.Comment

Are you injured? I know if you are injured and choose to play through it, you won't get training points.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
You are missing a lot of the manager's goals like "Hit and run", Steal 2nd base", or "Drive the run in". Considering some of the goals net you up to 25 pts (50 in postseason), they really rack up. You drive 2 runners and steal a base, that's 60 pts you missed for that game.Comment

Altoona huh? Howdy teammate. My player Tyler Dodge is a first baseman for the Curve. I aced all my goals last time but the manager wanted to keep me in AA just awhile longer. Now I'm in the midst of another hitting slump again. Wonderful.

I love the stadium but what's with the Rocky Mountains in Pennsylvania? lol

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Finally got my pitcher called up to the bigs. In mid-June, I had a 2.85 ERA, and had just come off a 6 inning, 3 hit shutout win. When I went to ask the manager why I was pulled, one of the options said, "Request a call up," so, I tried it, and it worked! My first ML start came against the Angels. 7 innings, 6 hits, 2 ER (1 Hr to Vlad), and 3 K's. Padres won 5-2.Through music, you can live forever...TEAMS: San Diego Chargers, San Diego Padres, Notre Dame Fighting IrishComment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
So, I got sick and tired of struggling in the Pirates system with my catcher, so I requested a trade, and sure enough, I got sent to the Orioles. My first game there:

In 3 games with them, I'm 8 for 15 with 3 HR and 12 RBI. I don't know if it was the trade that made me hot or not, but I'm loving it!
By the way, here's my first ML K with my pitcher:
