Is your TV hooked up to your computer, and if so, what software do you then use?

    Thanks...
Hey Mike, first thing you're going to do in order to capture whatever screenshot you desire, hit the PS button while in gameplay (which will bring you to the XMB Menu) - there you will slide over to the "Photo" section where you'll see a "highlight screen shot" or something along that nature. Click that and it'll take you back to the game where you simply hit "X" to take the picture and it will automatically save it to your HDD.

When you QUIT the game, slide back over to the "Photo" section and copy the pictures to a flash drive so you can export them via Photobucket or TinyPic.

Also, I think I have heard this mentioned before, but I am a shortstop in RTTS. A few times a game during double plays when I am taking the throw at second, my guy just freezes for no reason until he catches the ball. Anyone found out how to fix this.
      .263, 0, and 3?

Well. You're doing better than most have. My guy went .186, 1, and 6 in spring training in my first season.

Hope I'm not moving too fast.

19 yr old starter, middle of year 2, just got called up to AAA (2010).

Quick bits: Was starting AA ASG pitcher in 2009. Led league in winning percent and losses (11-3) in 2009.

        Stats:

        OVR: C
        Stam: B
        Vel: C
        Cont: C
        Fld: F

Working on getting my control to a B and my stam to an A.

        Fast: 93
        Cir chng: 78
        Slider: 83

Not looking to add a new pitch just yet. Want to at least have velocity and control to a B first. Next pitch will be a split then a 12-6 curve.

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread

Well. Had a great finish to my year

Wound up hitting .353 with 22 HR, 118 RBI, 101 Runs, 1 SB, 39 doubles, 2 triples, 69 walks, and 47 strikouts. In the field I had 11 errors, but I figure that's not too bad for my first year starting.

Did a good job spreading out my stats too. I think the key is to ignore some of the coaches suggestions...lol. I focused on hitting primarily, fielding as my secondary focus. I only added enough to baserunning and durability to prevent it from going down. I completely ignored bunting. I managed to get a 37 game hitting streak going too, which gave me extra points (I bet I would have gotten a good chunk more if I could have lasted to 40).

Bowie made the playoffs as a wildcard and my guy was HOT! I batted .459 with 4 HR, 13 RBI's. We lost in the final game of the championship series though.

In the off-season I got a pleasant surprise and was invited to spring training. Looked at the roster and it turns out that the O's didn't sign anyone worth anything at my position and the only guy rated higher than me is Huff. I'm shooting for AAA starter (maybe even a shot at the MLB squad if they want a backup 1B) in year 2.

Spring is here...we'll see how it goes.

On a side note. Why is the only sign I ever get for a hit and run? On top of that, it's a virtual lock that I'll get a pitch in the dirt in these situations...lol.

What's worse is the fact that the logic is all goofed. I watch a ball I can't possibly hit anyway and it's -10 (for not completing the goal). If I swing and miss on the same pitch, it's -5 (for "failing"). Go figure.

the acheivement goals really piss me off. I have yet to play a whole season as a starter because of these. its the same thing every time I make the goals get made the starter, then magically Im in a slump pretty much the whole time for the next goals and cant get any points to get them done.

I'm currently in my second year as a 1b in the Mets system. I built myself very close to real life, he's about 5ft 8 and max weight, so he looks just like me. I have really poor averages, hovering mostly around the .214 mark, but I spend too much time as a pinch hitter and not starting to really build points and a rhythm. My first year I spent entirely in Binghamton as a bench player and had a low average, but mashed about 14 homers. My second year has been a blessing thus far as I started in Binghamton and hit about .245 with about 20 RBI for the first two or three months and got called up to my hometown Bisons. I struggled for the most part, only getting spot starts and pinch hit chances, but had about a .213 average with a few homers and RBI, when David Wright got injured for 2 months and the big club called me up for bench duty. I've been struggling mightily, since I still think my stats are borderline AAA right now and am only hitting about .170. I forsee a demotion soon since my main competition is doing very well for Buffalo and I am blowing RBI chances, but I don't mind since I'll be able to build more attributes.

Just finished spring training season 1, and my stats are .272, 0 HR, 9 RBI's with 2 doubles and 1 triple. I have 2 SB as well. Thought I suck badly, but the more posts I read the better I feel about myself.

What year is everybody in their RTTS? I'm very scared of the crash and burn bug, how many people have played through many seasons without encountering this bug?

About a quarter of the way through my first season at AAA Indianapolis I am absolutely tearing it up. I'm batting .345 with .500 + slugging percentage, 5 HRs and a ton of RBI's yet my manager just issued me a not-so-veiled warning because I didn't meet all of his trivial advancement goals. All I know is he better not push it, I'm turning into a kid phenom in the Pirates organization and I could probably have him fired.

I just had my best game points wise - 125 for my SS (20 for a hit streak). Then I followed it up with games of 0, 3, 0.

My coach is still bugging the crap out of me. I am the best hitter in AA, but every in game goal I don't meet, I find a nasty email waiting for me. And then I tried to ask for a trade, but I was told I was too valuable to the organization.

lol, I just finished spring training of my first season, can't wait to ask for a trade. I was drafted by the brewers...no offence to brewers fans, but I just don't want to play for them.

my best game points-wise is 68, how do you guys get so many points? is there more opportunities points wise in regular season than spring training?

And I swear if I have to see that cutscene where my coach points his finger at me because I struck out once to many for his liking I'll kick a whole in my TV.

                            Soo good news, bad news!

Bad news first, I accidently overwrote my SP RTTS profile. So now all I have is just my batter. Probably for the best as it's hard to focus on two. And I'm finding that having a batter is more of a challenge for me.

Good news, I'm able to do batting practice again. I'm curious to know if everyone has this glitch or is it only a few here and there. My lasted just as explained before. A couple times of errors, but by the third time everthing was fine again.

Anyway, I finished my 1st season last night and started my second. I managed to stay in AAA the rest of my 1st season, but got put into utility duty at the end of the year. They had this hot, up and coming LF Leroy Hammer that came off the DL, so that put me in a bench role. I wasn't completing all my goals either. Its funny because as a POWER hitter they want me to focus on bunting. I refuse. Instead I put points into fielding and arm strenght and now my attributes are better because of it. Overall I'm a C player with C contact, and D fielding. I still have A potential, but horrible speed. I ended my first year hitting .296 with 6 HRs for the AAA Sky Sox. Not too shabby actually.

The offseason starts and I get a message from my agent right away stating that the Rockies have promoted Leroy Hammer, which means I now have sole responsibility of the LF position. Bad news is though there isn't room for me on the MLB team. I'm stuck in AAA. I've requested trades in my 1st season, but they refused because they feel I'm too valuable to the team, but yet they have no room for me.

The second season starts and I don't make it to ST. They only have 3 LF in the organization and I'm #1 (so why is Leroy ahead of me)? I start my 2nd season in AAA again and start off cold. I'm failing to reach goals and only hitting .194 with 0 HR's. Not looking good. My fielding is lacking as well. I not getting to my spots, and my arm strength is weak. So i decided to boost all that up and hope for batting practice to improve my hitting. Sure enough it pays off. I'm into July, missed the All-Star team as I'm still only 13/56 LF's in the league. My average is up to .284 with 6 HRs. I've noticed my reaction time and overall defense has improved. Of course I'm still failing to meet goals, yet I'm becoming a better player.

I decided to end it about 2 1/2 weeks short of the trade deadline, but I went ahead and simmed ahead just to see if a trade happens. Sure enough the Rangers traded a SP for me. Now this was only a test so I will see where I actually go tonight, but I know a trade is coming.

I've never actually looked into it but what I was able to figure out is that it's based on extra base hits. A double is counted as 2 hits, a triple as 3 and a home run as 4. Say you go 1 for 5 with 1 home run. That 1 home run would count as 4 hits so 4 of 5 = .800 slugging percentage for that game. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.
