Re: ***Official "It's The Little Things..." Thread***
I got a chuckle out of Matt V. talking about the "fashion faux pas" that was/are the Astro's rainbow gut home unis...LOL
It zoomed to Oswalt, and Matt started talking, "and you are looking at..." I thought he was about to talk about Oswalt, but he started talking about how ugly the jerseys were
(I happen to like those jerseys
)
Edit: I also don't know if that was in last year, as I only played with the Astros a handful of times, but I used those jerseys every timeLast edited by thaSLAB; 03-03-2009, 12:05 PM.Comment

I love how they make mention of this forum. I moved a runner over on a groundout and soup talks about how they are doing the little things well and something to the effect of "I wouldn't be surprised to see this in an online discussion, they can call it the little things thread.""We All Have Sizeable Scars"

Very welcome addition - the cutscene where a manager yanks the pitcher (and Matt V gives his line) now occurs for the user team as well! Bonus points - when Zambrano left the game and walked off the field, he tipped his cap and fans gave him an ovation!Comment

I played a 16 inning games, and at the end of the game once they were done tellin the player of the game and the rest...you could hear one of the announcers say under his breath "We just as well spend the night here and get ready for tomorrow's game"...i thought that was kinda funny...PSN: OverPar8Comment

This shouldn't be shocking, but I was playing the Cubs(me) vs. White Sox and that skinny piece of **** Alexei Ramirez went yard work on me.
They showed a cut scene with Soriano picking up the baseball from a fan who threw it and Matt V made a comment about how it was tradition.
If you pause the game they actually have a sound clip of the nearby "L" train passing by.
By the way, I'm getting worked by the Sox. So I decided to plunk Pierszynski right in the head. You know this game is awesome when I start yelling at A.J. to just shut his damn mouth and take his base.

I had the same thing happen, but with a Dye HR. I also experienced the 7th Inning Stretch, as sung by Rex...It was a cutscene in the bottom of the 7th, Matt announces that they're going to go back to the stretch and hear the singing, and they play the audio; and showed the White Sox players all looking up towards the press box and covering their ears. HILARIOUS.This shouldn't be shocking, but I was playing the Cubs(me) vs. White Sox and that skinny piece of **** Alexei Ramirez went yard work on me.

Playing the Rays right now and Kazmir has a no hitter on me through 4 innings. After Ankiel grounds out to Longoria for the first out of the 5th, it shows Kazmir in a cutscene and has a stat line at the bottom of the screen that says how no Rays pitcher has ever thrown a no-hitter.
Nice touch.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Just witnessed the hidden ball trick. I gave up a triple with the Red Sox against the Rays. Lowell goes to Okajima to talk and walks back over to third with the ball. The runner is talking to the third base coach then quickly sees that Lowell has the ball and hurrys back to the bag. I couldn't believe it. AWESOME!!!NFL: Kansas City Chiefs
