re: ***Official "It's The Little Things..." Thread***
I'll toss one, from the demo (in order to stray away fomr all the crotch watching...lol)
I love the little intros they added. Seeing the guys talking before the game...maybe tossing the ball, whatever. then fade away, and back to the full program. It's a great touch IMO.
Also, love that the umps have personalities and tendencies...also love the little backsories they have.
And all htat's just from the demo. Is it Tuesday yet?...lolComment

I've been waiting for someone to start this thread up...
- Player drinking a sports drink while getting chewed out by the manager.
- pitcher throwing down his hat after a bad call from the ump.
- weak grounder to the pitcher, he holds the ball over his head waving to to the 1st baseman to let him know he is about to throw it.
- post game highlights.
- Kuroda's routine after he gets the ball back from Martin. He walks to the back of the mound, bends over for some rosin, the stands up and practices his release point. NOT a cutscene, he does it everytime the ball is thrown from home plate.
- fans wearing different types of clothing based on weather.
- an empty Dodger stadium in a 9th inning blowout.Last edited by Mr.Wednesday; 02-28-2009, 04:59 PM.PSN: PhiNuPi

I won't be making lists off the spot and I don't know which of all things have been in MLB '08, but one thing that I love so far are the reflections of things. In The Ballpark in Arlington we get a reflection off the glass in center, we get reflections off the helmets... it just looks straight up insane!Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Heres one nice little thing, game related...
Royals (me) Mariners (CPU)
2nd and 3rd for the Mariners, one out. Jose Lopez at the plate. Pops one up to second for the 2nd out. Goes to cut scene of him taking a seat on the bench getting an earful (though not screaming) from Don Wakamatsu (I know the spelling isnt right). I didnt see something like that last year. That was nice

The aggressiveness of the AI (and this is just on All-Star because I'm too pathetic to even try a higher level. Screw you guys).
Tight game, extra innings, and fast guys are trying anything to get on-base. And it's not just a one-time thing. It happens enough to see them try to drop a bunt to know that they are thinking, trying to find a way to catch me off-balance. That's good stuff."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Dustin Pedroia Bobbled a ball trying to turn two, but got the first out.
Joe Girardi came out and argued with the second base ump that Pedroia didn't have complete control while making the out at second.Comment

I don't have the full game yet, but in the demo I lit Kazmir up in the first inning and he did that walk around the back of the mound. Before he walked back up on the hill, he spit on the grass behind the mound.
It was a cut scene and doesn't show up on the replays, so I couldn't take a pic of it

This is from the demo, but one of the times where you shake your head going, Did that just happen?
I have a man on first and hit a slow roller to Rollins who just throws it to first. Rex makes a comment "That he must not have been paying attention, because he didnt even try to turn the doubleplay". Then there is a cut scene of Hammels walking off the back of the mound looking at Rollins and motioning to him that he should of underhand lobbed it to second than on to first. WOW! Cant wait to see all the stuff thats gonna happen over a whole season.Comment

first AB I have with the finished product, Schumaker hits a ground ball to first that takes a bad hop on Pena and bounces into right field.
Oh and cloudy days never looked so good.

Dude those things slide all the time. My 6 year is finding that out. It is funny to watch him in left field fixing his cup and then hitting it too. It is so funny. They asked me which kid is yours I told them the one hitting his cup!
Oh yeah I little thing is the LED Board. I love them.
